LOGINLanka Monroe POV
"Lean on me, Lanka, just breathe through the silver burn," Julian Park says, pressing his palms against my shaking shoulders as he pulls me off the freezing stone table. "I should have scented the air sooner. I should have torn down those gates before they violated your pack rights."
"Having your alpha aura near me right now is the only thing keeping my wolf from tearing itself apart from the panic," I whisper, gripping Julian's jacket while my nails dig into the fabric, my legs completely weak.
"Look at this pathetic display, Maren," Maren Cole sneers, her eyes tracking Julian's hands on my waist with pure disgust. "The pup in his womb could never belong to the Wolfe lineage if he runs to a stray alpha the second my son turns his back. Tell me, Lanka, whose seed is really growing inside you?"
"You want the truth so badly, Maren?" I snap, my teeth baring as I force my voice to cut through the heavy scent of silver in the room. "The child I am carrying has absolutely nothing to do with Andrew Wolfe. You can stop dreaming about using my pup's bloodline to cure your precious Hawthorne allies!"
"What did you just say to her? Say those exact words to my face, Omega," a deep, predatory roar shakes the concrete walls of the medical wing.
Andrew Wolfe stands at the threshold, his chest heaving under his shredded shirt, his massive alpha pressure slamming into the room like a physical blow that makes the pack doctors drop to their knees.
"Andrew," I breathe out, my heart dropping into a cold abyss as I lock eyes with him, seeing the lethal fury radiating from his true mate bond.
"Do you actually believe her lies too, Andrew? Do you doubt that my wolf carries your exact scent marks?" I challenge him, lifting my chin despite the raw terror threatening to choke me. "Fine! I will say it again for the entire pack to hear. Andrew, this child does not belong to you. Are you satisfied now?!"
"Silence!" Andrew roars, the veins along his throat bulging as his claws extend, his gaze piercing through my chest like a silver blade.
"You heard him, Andrew! The lying male omega admitted it himself!" Maren yells, her fingers twitching toward her whip. "He is a shameless trait—"
"I said enough, Maren!" Andrew snaps his jaws close to her face, his raw dominance forcing her back against the blood-stained slab until her mouth shuts completely.
"Julian, please, take me away from this den," I whisper, wrapping my arms tighter around Julian's neck, purposely avoiding Andrew's terrifying stare. "Get me out of here before I suffocate."
"He is not taking you anywhere, Lanka," Andrew growls, stepping directly into our path, his massive chest blocking the exit while his eyes burn with murderous jealousy.
"The pack shamans already drained my fluid and violated my body with silver," I spit out, sweat dripping down my neck as I glare back at him with absolute mockery. "You got your samples. Can I leave now, or are you going to execute me right here on this stone table before the elders confirm the bloodline?"
"Andrew, you cannot let this treacherous omega walk out with another alpha!" Maren demands from behind us.
"Step aside, Alpha Wolfe," Julian warns, his own aura flaring to protect me as he shifts his stance.
Andrew's fists tremble so hard his knuckles crack, but he slowly steps to the side, his gaze tracking every inch of my body as Julian guides me past his massive frame.
"Andrew! How can you just let them—" Maren starts to scream.
Andrew turns like a flash of lightning, snatching the heavy glass extraction syringe right out of the head shaman's hand. With one brutal squeeze of his bare fist, the thick glass and silver needles shatter into a hundred pieces, piercing deep into his own palm. The stolen fluid mixes with his thick, dark alpha blood, dripping onto the concrete floor in a sickening pool.
"Everything is gone!" Maren shrieks, lunging forward to grab his bleeding wrist. "Andrew! Are you insane?! He confessed it wasn't yours!"
"Get out!" Andrew screams, hurling the broken metal remnants directly past Maren's cheek, slicing the air until she falls to the floor covering her face in terror.
"Every single medicine wolf and guard in this room is stripped of their pack rank and banished to the rogue lands by sunrise," Andrew commands, his voice dropping to a deathly whisper as the pack director enters the room shaking.
"Alpha, please!" a young doctor cries out, falling to his knees and grabbing Andrew's boots. "We only followed Maren's direct orders! We have families to feed in the outer pack!"
"Lanka begged you to stop too, didn't he?" Andrew whispers, stepping down on the doctor's hand until the bones pop. "When you brought silver near my pregnant mate, did you think about mercy?"
Andrew leaves the room without looking back, his heavy boots echoing down the dark hall. "Take my mother to the isolated eastern tower and lock the iron gates."
"Can you walk, Lanka?" Julian asks gently as we step into the freezing night air outside Silverline Medical Center.
"Just take me to your car, Julian," I whisper, shivering violently as he wraps his heavy coat around my bare shoulders. "I just want to go home."
Andrew grabbed my hand with brutal force, yanking my arm forward and forcing my trembling fingertips to brush against his bloody lips. His lower lip was split open from where my teeth had ripped into his skin, and he dragged my knuckles across the gash, staining my pale skin with a smearing crimson line of high Alpha blood. The stone corridor near the lower healing ward was quiet in the dead of night.Only two guards stood rigid in the shadowy corners, discreetly averting their eyes from our chaotic altercation.I was pinned back against the cold stone wall, my chest heaving in short, furious gasps as a burning flush of humiliation and rage rushed up my throat, my eyes stinging with angry, hot tears."You lunatic!" I hissed, shoving my hands hard against his broad, iron-like chest. "Get off me!"I pushed with every ounce of strength in my body, my dark eyes completely clear of the devotion I used to have for him.Andrew stared straight down into my eyes, his jaw clenching so hard a mu
"Tomorrow at dawn, the enforcers will be here to drag her to the dark wards." Andrew stepped forward, his massive frame closing the distance as he took my hand into his broad grip. My palm was freezing from the corridor draft, but his heavy, feverish heat enveloped my fingers, his rough thumb gently rubbing warmth back into my skin.My mind was still stuck on Serena's twisted schemes as I stared up at him. "The enforcers?"Although Serena's lies were sickening, attempting a fake miscarriage wasn't an offense that warranted dark cell imprisonment under pack law.Why had Andrew summoned the High Council's executioners?A lethal flare lit up Andrew's golden eyes. "The dark spell that poisoned Daniel Cho's wolf core had Serena's magic signature all over it."He had dispatched his shadow units to track the curse back to the border, but the rogue mages had fled into the mountains. It had been like searching for a dropped blade in a roaring river. With Serena's treachery blown wide open toni
I frowned, my fists clenching tight at my sides as I averted my gaze, only to catch Serena’s arrogant, mocking stare. It was as if Serena was silently sneering right into my face: Look at you, Lanka. Andrew will never take your word over mine. He’ll always find a way to let me off the hook.My claws dug into my palms. Serena’s confidence swelled as she stepped forward, pointing her finger accusingly at my chest."Lanka, you've already stolen my place in this pack, so why do you insist on judging me with such pure malice?!"Her voice trembled with fake grievance as she spun around toward Margaret and Damon, blood-red tears leaking down her pale cheeks."Mother Margaret, Lord Damon, you heard what Lord Andrew said! How could I ever lie to the elders? Quentin is dead, I’m carrying his blood while being publicly humiliated, and my own Hawthorne lineage is crumbling under political pressure! Even my own family blames me! I am just a fragile male omega in desperate need of protection and wa
Andrew lifted his broad hand, and Daniel Cho immediately handed over the glowing communication slate. With a swift tap of his long, calloused fingers, Andrew played the hidden memory rune.A secretly recorded projection flared to life in the dim light of the room, capturing the exact second of the chaotic altercation at Grand Meridian Hall. The footage clearly showed Serena Wolfe suddenly dashing out from behind a pillar, screaming alongside Maren Cole as they feigned a stumble toward the stone stairs, only to be heroically shoved out of harm's way by Carllo Monroe. The evidence was irrefutable. Damon Hawthorne’s face darkened to a terrible, bruised purple, his jaw clenching as he found himself completely unable to defend his accusations.Elaine Brooks stood up from the edge of Margaret's bed, his soft voice smooth and soothing as he stepped into the space between the Alphas. "Lord Damon, it was indeed Master Carllo who saved my sister-in-law from a bone-crushing fall. The Hawthorne f
I clutched my fists until my short nails bit into my palms, but I turned around slowly, arching my dark brows in pure sarcasm."Let me guess, Lord Wolfe," I drawled, my wolf stirring with toxic disdain inside my chest. "Is it Serena Wolfe? Ha, as if taking her to the council will change a single thing. Are you actually willing to snap her neck for what she did to Carllo, or are you just putting on another pathetic performance?"With that forged lineage scroll from the healers and the tampered diary incident at Grand Meridian Hall, Serena had been openly running her deadly schemes right under his nose.Just because she carried an ancient exoneration decree from the old Alpha wars, was Andrew going to turn a blind eye to her blood crimes yet again?"Whether I am willing to break her or not, you will have to see with your own eyes," Andrew said sternly, his broad chest rising as his heavy Alpha voice vibrated off the stone walls.I didn't bother struggling against his grip anymore. Carll
I felt right then that even if the sacred Luna bonding ritual had gone off without a single flaw, I would still never truly belong in his exalted Alpha world.I held the worn, leather-bound journal in my hands for a long, silent second before I finally pulled the clasp open.Andrew stood by the war-carriage, his golden eyes watching me intently, assuming I was going to read through the authenticated pages to verify the dark magic used on them. But in the very next breath, my claws extended.I shoved the heavy leather window frame down, letting the freezing, snow-filled mountain wind howl straight into the cabin. With a series of sharp, violent rips, I tore my childhood diary to shredded scraps and threw the pieces straight out into the roaring blizzard.SCREECH!Andrew slammed his heavy boots onto the carriage brakes, the wheels locking with a deafening groan. His handsome, cut-face turned a terrifying shade of livid, and he lunged across the leather seat, his massive hands grabbing m
