The bells of Everdawn continued to ring.

Ten times.

Across the hidden kingdom, people gathered beneath the silver towers, staring toward the eastern gate.

For a thousand years, Everdawn had remained hidden from the world.

No map showed its location.

No human knew it existed.

Even the ancient Guardians had spoken of it only in whispers.

But today...

The gates were opening.

At sunrise, Aria stood before Blackwood Castle.

A small group had gathered to accompany her.

Kael stood beside her.

Ronan and Selene waited near their horses.

The Forgotten King had chosen to remain in Blackwood for the time being, helping rebuild the kingdom.

Asterion would travel with Aria.

So would the First Guardian and Lyssara.

Commander Seraph had also decided to join them.

"We should leave before the mountain roads become dangerous," Kael said.

Aria nodded.

She looked back at Blackwood one final time.

She had arrived here as a frightened human woman who knew nothing about werewolves, ancient Queens, or magical kingdoms.

Now...

She was carrying the Heart of the First Queen.

The Crystal of Choice.

And the fate of an entire world.

She still didn't know whether she was ready.

But she had learned something important.

Being ready wasn't the same as being fearless.

Sometimes...

Courage meant walking forward while still afraid.

They rode east.

The journey lasted several days.

The landscape slowly changed.

The familiar forests surrounding Blackwood disappeared.

Mountains replaced valleys.

Rivers became narrower.

The air grew colder.

On the fourth evening, they reached the edge of a vast canyon.

There was no bridge.

No road.

Nothing marked the way forward.

Ronan looked around.

"Are we sure this is the right direction?"

Lyssara checked the Crystal Compass.

"It says we are exactly where we should be."

Aria frowned.

"There's nowhere to go."

The First Guardian smiled.

"That's because Everdawn doesn't appear for everyone."

He stepped toward the edge of the canyon.

Then he raised his staff.

Silver light spread across the ground.

The empty air began to shimmer.

A hidden bridge slowly appeared.

It was made entirely of crystal.

It stretched across the canyon and disappeared into a wall of mist.

Ronan stared.

"I really need to stop being surprised by magic."

Selene laughed.

"You've been saying that for days."

They crossed the bridge.

The moment Aria stepped into the mist...

Everything changed.

The cold disappeared.

Warm sunlight touched her face.

Birds sang.

Flowers covered the hills.

And beyond the mountains...

A magnificent kingdom floated above a sea of clouds.

Everdawn.

Aria stopped breathing for a moment.

White towers reached toward the sky.

Golden bridges connected enormous buildings.

Silver trees grew along the streets.

Waterfalls flowed upward instead of downward, disappearing into the clouds.

At the center of the kingdom stood a magnificent palace.

Its highest tower was crowned with a glowing crescent.

Aria whispered,

"It's beautiful."

Kael smiled.

"Welcome to Everdawn."

The crystal bridge carried them toward the city.

As they approached the gates...

Hundreds of people gathered.

No one spoke.

They simply stared at Aria.

Some bowed.

Others cried.

An elderly woman covered her mouth.

"The Heart Bearer..."

A young man whispered,

"She's real."

Another voice answered,

"The Queen has returned."

Aria looked at Kael nervously.

"I don't think I'm prepared for this."

He squeezed her hand.

"You don't have to be."

The gates opened.

Ten white-robed guards stood on either side.

Their armor bore the symbol of the ten stars.

The oldest guard stepped forward.

"Aria Bennett."

She stopped.

He bowed deeply.

"Welcome home."

Aria's heart skipped.

"Home?"

The guard raised his head.

"Yes."

"You have finally returned to the kingdom of your ancestors."

Before Aria could ask another question...

The palace bells rang.

A procession emerged from the palace.

At its center walked an elderly king wearing a white crown.

Beside him was a young woman with long silver hair and violet eyes.

The king stopped before Aria.

For a long moment...

He simply stared at her.

Then his eyes filled with tears.

"Your mother's eyes..."

Aria froze.

"My mother?"

The king nodded.

"Yes."

He looked toward the palace.

"There are truths about your birth that Blackwood never knew."

Kael stepped closer to Aria.

"What are you saying?"

The king looked at him.

"Your mate was not born a simple human."

Aria's heart began pounding.

The king extended his hand.

"Come."

"You deserve to know who you really are."

He turned toward the palace.

But before Aria could follow...

The young silver-haired woman stepped forward.

Her expression was cold.

"Father."

The king stopped.

She looked directly at Aria.

"Before you tell her anything..."

"...she must pass the First Trial."

Aria frowned.

"What trial?"

The woman smiled.

"The Trial of Strength."

She raised her hand.

The palace gates opened behind her.

Inside waited a massive stone arena.

And standing at its center...

Was a giant white wolf.

Its eyes glowed crimson.

The woman looked at Aria.

"If you truly carry the Heart of the First Queen..."

"Prove it."

The arena gates slammed shut.

The First Trial had begun.

The massive white wolf slowly lifted its head.

Its crimson eyes fixed on Aria.

A low growl rolled through the arena.

Aria tightened her grip on the Blade of Unity.

Across the arena, the silver-haired woman watched without emotion.

Kael stepped toward the gate.

"Open it."

The woman shook her head.

"The trial is hers."

"Then let me fight beside her."

"No."

Kael's eyes flashed silver.

"She is my mate."

"And she is the Queen," the woman replied.

"Queens must learn to stand on their own."

Aria looked back at Kael.

"It's okay."

He clearly didn't like it.

But he nodded.

"I'll be here."

Aria turned toward the wolf.

The creature lowered its body.

Its claws dug into the stone.

Then it disappeared.

Aria barely had time to react.

The wolf struck.

She raised the Blade of Unity.

BOOM!

The impact sent her sliding across the arena floor.

The crowd gasped.

Aria quickly rose.

The wolf attacked again.

She dodged.

Its claws tore through the stone where she had been standing.

Aria swung her blade.

The creature twisted away.

It was incredibly fast.

Too fast.

She tried to follow its movements, but every time she thought she had found an opening...

It disappeared.

Then she remembered what the First Guardian had told her.

The first trial was not simply about strength.

It was about proving that she could control the power of the Heart.

Aria closed her eyes.

She stopped chasing the wolf.

She listened.

The wind.

The footsteps.

The heartbeat.

There.

Behind her.

She spun around.

The wolf lunged.

Aria raised her hand.

The Heart of the First Queen flashed.

A silver barrier appeared.

The wolf crashed against it.

For the first time...

It stopped.

Aria opened her eyes.

"I see you now."

The wolf growled.

Then something strange happened.

Its crimson eyes softened.

The massive creature slowly lowered its head.

Aria lowered her blade.

"You weren't trying to kill me."

The wolf shook its head.

"You were testing me."

A brilliant light surrounded the creature.

Its enormous body began to change.

The fur disappeared.

The claws became hands.

The creature transformed into a young man wearing white ceremonial robes.

The entire arena fell silent.

Aria stared.

The young man smiled.

"Congratulations."

"The First Trial is complete."

The silver-haired woman stepped forward.

"Impossible."

The young man bowed toward Aria.

"You didn't defeat me."

"You understood me."

"The Heart chose correctly."

The woman looked furious.

"You were supposed to challenge her."

"I did."

"And she passed."

The young man looked at Aria.

"Strength isn't always about destroying your enemy."

"Sometimes..."

"...it's knowing when not to."

The arena gates opened.

Kael immediately walked toward Aria.

"Are you hurt?"

She smiled.

"Not badly."

He looked toward the young man.

"Who are you?"

The stranger bowed.

"My name is Caelan."

"I am one of the Guardians of Everdawn."

Kael's expression hardened slightly.

"Another Guardian."

Caelan smiled.

"Yes."

"But unlike the others..."

"My duty is to protect the Queen herself."

Aria looked at the silver-haired woman.

"Who is she?"

The woman stepped forward.

Her expression remained cold.

"My name is Princess Elara."

She looked directly into Aria's eyes.

"And I am the heir to Everdawn."

Aria frowned.

"But the king said I was the Queen."

Elara's expression tightened.

"He called you the Queen because of the prophecy."

She stepped closer.

"But Everdawn has never accepted a stranger as its ruler."

Kael moved beside Aria.

"She's not a stranger."

Elara looked at him.

"That remains to be proven."

Aria felt tension rising between them.

Before anyone could speak...

The king raised his hand.

"Enough."

He looked at Aria.

"Come with me."

They entered the palace.

The doors closed behind them.

Inside was a magnificent hall filled with portraits.

Aria walked slowly.

She recognized several faces from the visions in the Royal Archive.

Seraphina.

Elyria.

The Forgotten King.

The Nine Queens.

Then she stopped.

One portrait caught her attention.

A young woman with dark hair and silver eyes.

She wore no crown.

Yet everyone around her bowed.

Aria stared at the portrait.

"Who is she?"

The king became silent.

Finally, he answered.

"Your mother."

Aria's heart stopped.

"My mother?"

The king nodded.

"Her name was Amara Bennett."

Aria took a step closer.

"She was from Everdawn?"

"Yes."

"Then why did she leave?"

The king looked away.

"Because she was running from us."

"Why?"

His voice became quiet.

"Because the royal council wanted to kill you before you were born."

Aria's face went pale.

Kael immediately stepped closer.

"Why would they want to kill an unborn child?"

The king looked directly at Aria.

"Because the prophecy said that one day..."

"The daughter of Amara would return."

"And when she did..."

"She would either save Everdawn..."

"...or destroy it."

The hall fell silent.

Aria stared at her mother's portrait.

All her life, she had believed she was an ordinary woman.

Now she was discovering that even her birth had been part of an ancient prophecy.

The king slowly approached her.

"There is something else."

Aria turned.

"What?"

He looked toward a sealed door at the end of the hall.

"Your mother left something for you."

"The last thing she ever asked us to protect."

"What is it?"

The king placed his hand against the door.

"A letter."

"Written on the night she escaped Everdawn."

The door began to glow.

"But there is one problem."

Aria waited.

"Only her daughter can open it."

The silver seal on the door suddenly shattered.

The door opened.

And from inside...

A woman's voice whispered:

"Aria..."

"...if you are hearing this..."

"...then they failed to stop you."

Aria's breath caught.

It was her mother's voice.

Aria stood completely still.

Her mother's voice filled the chamber.

"If you are hearing this..."

"...then they failed to stop you."

A tear slipped down Aria's cheek.

She had spent her entire life wondering about the woman who had given birth to her.

Now, after all these years...

She could finally hear her voice.

Kael gently took Aria's hand.

"You don't have to listen alone."

Aria nodded.

"I'm ready."

The room became brighter.

A crystal sphere floated above a stone pedestal.

Inside it...

A woman appeared.

She had long dark hair.

Silver eyes.

And the same gentle smile Aria had seen in the mirror every morning.

Amara.

Aria's mother.

"My precious daughter..."

Amara's voice trembled.

"If you're hearing this, then you have discovered Everdawn."

"I prayed that you would never have to."

"But if you have returned..."

"Then the prophecy has already begun."

Aria whispered,

"Mom..."

The recording continued.

"Your father was not a king."

"He was not a warrior."

"He was a Guardian."

Aria's eyes widened.

The king lowered his head.

Kael looked at him sharply.

"Who was her father?"

The king remained silent.

Amara's recording answered instead.

"His name was Orion."

Aria froze.

"Orion?"

The First Guardian immediately stepped forward.

"Orion..."

"The ancient Guardian?"

The king nodded.

"Yes."

"He was the greatest Guardian Everdawn ever knew."

Aria looked at Kael.

"That's why I have a heart."

Kael nodded slowly.

"Your blood carries both sides."

"Queen and Guardian."

Amara continued.

"I loved Orion."

"But our love was forbidden."

"The royal council believed that a child born from a Queen's blood and a Guardian's blood would possess power beyond their control."

"So they ordered our deaths."

Aria's eyes filled with tears.

"What happened to him?"

The recording became distorted.

Then Amara's voice returned.

"I escaped."

"Orion stayed behind."

"I never saw him again."

The king closed his eyes.

"Your mother believed he died."

Aria turned toward him.

"Did he?"

The king didn't answer.

That silence was enough.

Kael's expression hardened.

"You know something."

The king looked at him.

"Orion survived."

The room went silent.

Aria's heart pounded.

"Where is he?"

The king looked toward the sealed windows.

"That is the second secret Everdawn has kept from you."

Amara's recording continued.

"If Orion survived..."

"...then he will be searching for you."

"Do not trust everyone who claims to know him."

"Some people will use his name to reach you."

"Some will tell you he died."

"Some will tell you he became a monster."

Amara's voice softened.

"Believe none of them."

"Find the truth yourself."

The crystal sphere suddenly flickered.

Amara looked directly at Aria.

"There is one final thing you must know."

"The prophecy was not about saving Everdawn."

"It was about breaking the bloodline curse."

Aria frowned.

"What curse?"

The recording began to fade.

Amara's final words echoed through the room.

"The women of our bloodline were never meant to rule..."

"They were meant to sacrifice themselves."

"The prophecy was created to make sure every Queen eventually died."

Aria's eyes widened.

"Why?"

The crystal sphere shattered.

The room went dark.

Then...

A single white light appeared.

It formed words in the air.

THE SECOND TRIAL BEGINS AT MIDNIGHT.

Below it appeared another sentence.

YOU MUST DISCOVER WHO CREATED THE PROPHECY.

Aria stared at the message.

Kael stepped beside her.

"We'll find out."

The king's face had turned pale.

Elara stood silently near the doorway.

But Caelan...

He was smiling.

Months passed.

Blackwood was rebuilt.

Everdawn opened its gates.

The supernatural kingdoms signed a new treaty.

Humans were finally told the truth.

There were disagreements.

There were fears.

There were people who refused to accept change.

But there was no longer a secret war.

For the first time in thousands of years...

The supernatural world began to heal.

Aria became the first Queen of the New Age.

Kael remained Alpha of Blackwood.

Together, they ruled without fear.

Amara and Orion stayed in Everdawn.

Lucian became one of the kingdom's chief Guardians.

Elara chose to remain beside Aria, determined to repair the damage caused by the old council.

And the ancient Guardians finally laid down their weapons.

One year later...

The valley was covered in flowers.

Blackwood's castle stood stronger than ever.

The old walls had been rebuilt.

New towers had been added.

And above the main entrance was a new symbol.

A silver wolf beneath ten stars.

Aria stood on the balcony wearing a simple white dress.

Kael stood beside her.

Below them...

Thousands of people had gathered.

The bells began to ring.

Ten times.

Aria looked at Kael.

"Ready?"

He smiled.

"Not at all."

She laughed.

"Good."

Together, they walked toward the courtyard.

The people cheered.

"Long live Queen Aria!"

"Long live Alpha Kael!"

Aria looked around at the kingdom.

The human girl who had once worried about rent and surviving another ordinary day was gone.

In her place stood a Queen.

A daughter.

A mate.

A leader.

But most importantly...

A woman who had chosen her own destiny.

She reached for Kael's hand.

He held it tightly.

And beneath the silver moon...

They stepped forward together.

The old age had ended.

The new age had begun.
