The rain had started again, it pounded against the roof like a warning drum. I stood at the window, my hand trembled slightly as I clutched the curtain.

I closed the curtain gently as I backed away from the window. . I had moved in with my parents ever since I decided to keep the babies and they thought I would have peace here but my mind kept wandering to their.

I knew how powerful he was, that's why I ran. It wasn't my fault but he wouldn't understand, the rich never do. He would probably blame me, like in all these novels.

That night haunted me. His voice haunted me. I was scared that he'd either ask me to terminate or take my children from me if he found out I was pregnant.

“Mom?” I called out as I made my way toward the kitchen. My mother stood there, brewing tea and humming to herself.

My parents were very supportive as always, they didn't pressure me about the father, just loving me like nothing happened.

Then there was the dreams

Wolves with gold eyes. And the voice. Always the voice

“Where are you?.” it always asked.

It sounded familiar, but I didn't know why

I could feel myself growing psychotic.

“Sweetheart?” my mother’s soft voice pulled me back from my thoughts “You okay?”

“Yeah. Just… thinking.” I said as I took in a breath.

My mom studied me. Her eyes carefully taking me in “You're pale.”

“I'm always pale.”

“Paler than usual.” my mom said handing me the tea. “Sit. You’ve been on your feet too much”

I sat reluctantly, holding the warm mug in my still trembling hands. “Do you think I will be a good mother? I don't want to make any mistakes.

My mother paused, then smiled “we all make mistakes and we learn from them. You'd be an awesome mother”

She gave me a kiss on the cheek as she reassured me

“thanks mum.” I said, smiling. This time it was genuine.

“Your father’s going to the store for supplies tomorrow. Anything you need?.”

“not really”

“alright, take care of yourself and rest more.” she said as she left the kitchen.

I stood on the porch in her oversized sweater, arms wrapped around herself. The mist hung low over the trees. My belly shifted—one of the babies kicked. Hard.

I winced, placing my hand over the spot. “Easy,” I whispered.

“You're quite eager aren't you? Mummy can't wait to see you also. Come out safely okay?”

I smiled as I patted my belly.

I woke up, my eyes were sunken, my skin pale. My father wanting to lighten the mood tried to joke about it.

“You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” he chuckled, grabbing his keys.

I almost responded, but bit her tongue. It was worse than a ghost, the dreams were becoming more vivid.

“I’m fine, Dad. Be careful.”

He nodded and kissed my forehead. “You’ll be alright. I’ll be back before sunset.”

I watched his truck disappear down the gravel road. The silence afterward felt louder than the engine. I turned to go back inside when a low growl reached my ears.

Could it be that the dreams traced me to reality?

I stiffened as I turned slowly.

There, at the tree line, stood a massive wolf.

Its eyes glowed faint gold, its fur gray and black. It stared at me through me as if it recognized me.

I felt myself take a step back.

It didn’t move.

My heart began to raced. I opened the door and ran inside, slamming it shut.

“Mom?” I shouted.

There was no answer.

“Mom!”

I rushed through the house. It was empty. My mother’s purse was gone. So were her boots.

Panic rose in my throat. “No, no, no…”

A noise came from the porch.

I backed away, grabbing the nearest thing i could, a heavy iron candle holder and held it like a weapon. My grip on it draining my blood.

My babies shifted inside me and my vision swam. I couldn’t pass out. Not now.

I fled to the back room, slamming the door and locking it. No one was home. Just me and whatever the hell was on the other side of that wall.

Then, silence.

I sank to the floor, breathing hard. Minutes passed. Or hours. I didn’t know.

Finally, I stood and peeked through the window.

The wolf was gone as if it never existed.

“Great” I felt myself whisper. “I'm going insane”

That night, I packed a bag.

Just a few things, I had told my parents what happened and they tried to convince me to stay, but I couldn't. Whether it was real or my mind playing games, I needed to be safe.

“I love you. But I have to go.”

They nodded, understanding. My dad pushed a card into my hands.

“This should cover you until you can stand on your feet” he said, his tears threatening to fall.

My mother's tears were already flowing as she held my hand. I gave her a smile as I cleaned her tears and nodded.

I waited until the moon was high, then slipped out into the night.

The road was long and twisted, but I had a plan.

There was a woman, an old midwife named Mags. People said she was strange, but kind. And she lived far from the town. Off the grid. Safe.

I hiked for hours, my belly aching, my feet were blistered,my muscles trembled. The babies moved less now, like they were resting.

The sky began to lighten when I reached the edge of Hollow Creek.

I paused, panting, resting against a tree. Then something moved behind me.

I spun. Nothing.

I could still feel someone's presence around me and I felt my hand go instinctively to my belly.

“I'm going to protect you” I whispered gently to my belly.

I didn't know what it was but I could feel the eyes. Then my mind went back to the wolf and the dreams. I had to choose.

I leaned and whispered to my babies again. “I'm going to make a choice okay? Just stay calm for me”

I looked around one more time and whispered.

“Then we run.”

  • THE ALPHA'S HIDDEN HEIRS   HUNTER AND TRAITOR

it was midnight and the war room breathed like a living thing at Vincent's stronghold. Shadows stretched long against the jagged walls, crawling upward as though desperate to escape. The ceiling arched into darkness, swallowing each sound until every word spoken inside seemed to echo with unnatural weight.Lanterns dangled low and the runes carved deep into the obsidian floor pulsed faintly, each symbol glowing like the heartbeat of the fortress itself. The scent of incense clung to the air.Lucas stood at the center of the circle. The light of the runes licked up his boots, tracing his outline in ghostly fire. His face was composed, and blank, but the steady rise and fall of his chest betrayed the war within. His heart thundered, beating against his ribs like war drums summoning armies.Around him, Vincent’s lieutenants stood in grim silence, a ring of predators ready to devour one of their own. Three shadow priests flanked the edges of the room, their robes pooling like spilled in

  • THE ALPHA'S HIDDEN HEIRS   THE RISE OF THE HEIRS

Twenty years had passed since they escaped from Vincent's grasp. The woman at the head of the conference table tapped her silver pen once against a thick folder and looked up, eyes steady and unflinching. The boardroom was silent. Her presence alone commanded the room.“Share prices are stable and our overseas partners have doubled their interest in our arcane shielding prototypes,” she paused as she scanned the room before continuing. “Now, onto the important matter, are our people in place?”A man in a tailored suit nodded quickly. “Yes, Chairwoman Grey. Four families confirmed allegiance. The fifth is silent but leaning in our favor.”Lily Grey leaned back, her long coat pooling behind her, and finally smiled. It was the smile of a woman who had survived hell and rebuilt her throne from its ashes.“Good,” she said. “Then begin the vote. We fund the expedition, initiate pre-deployment on the veil ward technology... and remind the families what’s really at stake.”As the room buzze

  • THE ALPHA'S HIDDEN HEIRS   SHATTERED ILLUSIONS

It had been a week since we entered the human world, my world. The wind was gentler here.No howls. No tremors in the earth. Just sunlight cutting through the trees, the smell of rain on old leaves, and the quiet hum of distant cars.we had safety, but still yearned for peace.I kept looking back with every sound, scared that we will soon be discovered.Lily sat on the porch steps of the small cabin we had gotten. Her hair was pulled into a braid, her hands clutched the same flower crown she had made weeks ago, by now the petals were long since dried.I watched her from inside, my hands trembling as I closed the burner phone I had just used.I had made contact with an old friend. A rogue, I had met from the war.And I he had told me the truth. And it felt like poison in my mouth.Eric Grey never brought us into his fortress just to protect us.He brought us there because he needed us.The twins were the last known offspring of the High-Blooded Lycan line, a bloodline prophesied to bri

  • THE ALPHA'S HIDDEN HEIRS   THE PRICE OF POWER

The cell was colder than the last one, smaller too.It was like a box with no windows. Just thick, enchanted stone walls that pulsed with magic. My wrists were raw from the new chains, and Lily lay curled against me, trembling, her small hands balled into fists.“He’s not gone,” she whispered. “Lucas is still in there. I can feel him.”Her confidence surprised me. I had already begun to give up on him, but here she was, determined.I brushed her hair gently. “I know, baby. He’s just scared and confused.”“But he heard me,” she said desperately, tears slipping from her eyes. “He heard me and he walked away.”My throat tightened. I didn’t know what to say. Because I had seen it too, the flicker of regret in Lucas’s little eyes, buried under doubt, power or maybe purpose. The kind of purpose Vincent twisted just enough to squeeze into his mind.Lily wiped her face with the edge of her sleeve. “Why didn’t he come back?”“He just wants to find himself, he'll be back. I promise” I said tr

  • THE ALPHA'S HIDDEN HEIRS   THE GATE OPENS

The stone cracked with a groan that echoed like thunder, the gate in the chamber’s center began to split.A circle of glowing runes surrounded it, soaked in blood. It hummed with the energy of something that wasn't meant to be touched. Something beyond the veil. The Cradle was no longer just a fortress. It was becoming a summoning ground.Lucas trembled beside it, eyes wide, drawn toward the energy like a thread was pulling him forward. He kept trying to pull away, but whatever was drawing him was stronger.“Lucas,” I called weakly. “Stay with me. Baby, don’t go near it.”But he didn’t hear me.Or worse, he ignored me.Vincent stood behind him, hand on his shoulder, his voice smooth and calm.“They never told you the truth, did they?” he said. “Your mother, your father, they’re scared of what you really are.”“They're ashamed of you”Lucas blinked up at him, confused, his breath shaky. “They said I was special... that I had to be protected.”Vincent crouched. “No, Lucas. • THE ALPHA'S HIDDEN HEIRS   THE HEARTS THAT FIGHT

Inside The CradleThe stone beneath me pulsed faintly, like a heartbeat forged from the earth itself. Something ancient stirred beneath us.I could feel it.Lily hadn’t spoken in hours. She sat by Lucas’s side, holding his hand, humming softly under her breath. Lucas had only just stirred, but his eyes were still hazy. Whatever spell Vincent had used was draining them.I stared at the cuffs on my wriss . The were painful, but not unbreakable.Vincent hadn’t accounted for desperation. The guards came every few hours. Always two, Always masked. But I had studied their movements and listened for patterns. I had waited. The next time they entered, I was ready.I slumped to the ground, feigning weakness. One of them stepped closer to check. When he was close enough, I struck. Driving my knee into his throat, I snatched the small dagger from his belt and stabbed him. The second guard lunged toward me, but I rolled as fast as I could, catching him in the ribs and jamming the dagger straig
