CHAPTER 22

I was moved to a different room and I was lying on the bed when the doctor got there and he checked me out completely. He checked on the babies and made sure that they weren't in distress and made sure that their heartbeats were still doing really good.

He told me that it was a close call but the babies are fine. And Beau told him what happened.

" I can sedate him." The doctor says.

" No." I snapped. " He's been sedated for the last four weeks. That's the problem. That's why he's like this. He doesn't know what's real and what's a dream. He just needs time." I demanded.

" Alright. We won't sedate him. But it's too dangerous for you to be near him." The doctor says.

" I am the only one who can calm him down. Everyone knows that. The bond between us is already weak. It's gotta get strong again and the only way that is going to happen is if I'm near him." I say.

" He could kill you." Beau says.

" Asher will never kill me. It doesn't matter what state he is in. He won't kill
