When we finished dinner I went back upstairs to my bedroom and I went into the bathroom to have a shower. I got dressed in a tank top and shorts and I stood in front of the mirror blow drying my ass length snow blonde hair and brushing it at the same time so it didn't go all fluffy on me. And I stared in the mirror at my piercing blue eyes. Everyone always looked straight at the eyes because they were so blue and I actually started wearing contact lenses a couple years ago just to dull the color a bit. I don't need glasses or contacts, it was just to dull the color. And I was considering whether or not to do that here. In my old pack, I was a freak. With this new pack, I might not be a freak. People might actually like my eyes. It was probably just something else for those assholes to tease me about. They always had to find something. Just because we were the outcasts of the pack. After dinner Beau helped me with the dishes and cleaning up and everything and then he had to get going and I made sure all the doors were locked and I went upstairs to my room. I had a shower and I got dressed into a singlet and shorts and I went to the library and started unpacking my boxes of books until I heard mom finally get home at around 11pm. So I went out to the kitchen to see her. "You're dinner's in the fridge." I say. "Fantastic. Thank you so much." She says opening the fridge but then examining the large dish of lasagna. " You must have been hungry." She commented seeing how much was missing. "I ate the usual amount. I had company." I say. And she closed the fridge door without getting any food looking at me suspiciously. "You can calm down. It was Beau. The Alpha's little brother. He stopped by to meet me when I got back from buying groceries and that's when you sent me the text saying that you weren't going to be home. So I invited him to stay." I explained.

IVY POV On my first day of school I woke up at 6am and got dressed into a red and black sports top, matching tights that showed off my whole stomach, socks and sand shoes. And I left the house and jogged around the town again. It was really dead this time of morning. There was nothing open except the coffee shop. And I did see some warriors training on the training field. But I just passed them, even with the wolf whistling at me and I did a lap of the sleepy town before I got back to the house. I had a shower and I blow dried my hair and straightened it and then I got dressed into a white layer top with thick lace straps over my arms, denim shorts and wedges. I avoided Beau for the rest of the day. Even in training after lunch that was mandatory. And instead I teamed up with a girl that I didn't even know. I hadn't met her or seen her all day. "Well, if we're going to be beating the crap out of each other today I should probably introduce myself. I'm Spencer." She says. "Ivy." I say. "Yeah. You've already gotten around. That shit at lunch time. Emma's an entitled bitch. She deserved what you gave her. Most people aren't game enough to fight back." She says. Well, I've had to fight back a lot in my life otherwise people would have been walking over me wherever I went in my old pack. "She pissed me off." I say. "Yeah. She does that very easily." Spencer says. And then the instructor got started and demonstrated a few different moves and we got straight into training. IVY POV I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to give him a second chance. I've never wanted to give anyone a second chance before. Although, no one has ever begged for a second chance like Beau. Or ever at all. So, I guess I was going to find out if this was a good thing or if it was going to come back and bite me in the ass. I walked back into the house and up to my bedroom and I heard my mother on the phone in her bedroom. She was talking to someone but even with my advanced werewolf hearing, I couldn't hear the person on the other end of the phone through the door. It didn't sound like work. It sounded like a deep and meaningful conversation. I just hope that she wasn't talking to the last human boyfriend that she had. That guy was a real drunken douche and I couldn't stand him. But for some reason she always forgave him whenever he messed up. And he messed up a lot. He cheated on her all the time. He got drunk and beat down our door once and attacked mom with a knif

IVY POV That day at school went by pretty smoothly. And in the afternoon I was paired up with Spencer again during training. But Beau and Cole were always paired up together. I ignored them yesterday but I paid a little bit of attention today and they were actually pretty comical to watch. They took every cheap shot in the book and acted like true siblings. Beau ended up getting the last blow when he punched Cole in the crotch and Cole fell to the ground holding himself like they were going to fall off or something. And he turned to me with a huge smile on his face. When we finished training we headed to the locker room and my locker was right next to Spencer's and she says that it looks like Beau and I are back on track. "What are you talking about?" I asked. BEAU POV "What the hell are you talking about?" I asked, staring Asher in the eye. "That's why I wanted you to keep her safe. Because I don't want her to know who I am yet. I don't give a shit that her mother is a doctor. I needed her here. Not her mother." Asher explained. "Why didn't you tell me that?" I asked. "Because I didn't want anyone to know. And then you started spending too much time together and it was too late. I didn't know how I was going to separate you two." Asher says. "If I knew that she was your mate then I definitely wouldn't have kissed her. And I promise, that's as far as it went. How did you even find out that she was your mate?" I asked. "I went to her pack about two years ago. I saw her. She didn't see me, she never felt the pull. She didn't even look at me. But I saw her. That's why I waited to get her here." Asher says. "You need to let her see you. You need to meet her. She's almost 18. She will start to feel the pull towards you." I told him.
