CHAPTER EIGHT

The whole walk back to the packhouse was quiet. No one talked but I was fully aware of how close Ivy and Asher were behind me. They were angry with me. I knew that they were angry with me. I should have told them the truth from the start but I didn't think I had any choice. I had to keep it to myself. Noah was in danger.

When we got to the packhouse I noticed that the living room light was on and when I walked inside Noah ran over to me and hugged me.

" What the fuck do you think you were doing?" Noah snapped at me while still hugging me.

I could actually feel how angry he was. And he was letting me know. That was a lot better than Ivy and Asher. They weren't yelling or screaming or punishing me. They were just quiet. It was really nerve wracking.

I knew that they would never trust me again. They didn't have a reason to. I kept a huge secret from them and they needed to know the truth about vampires coming back to their territory. But I thought I would be leaving with them and
