Chapter 8: Sneaking Out

The next day

Damian's POV ~

Last night's encounter clearly left an impact on my mate. I could feel that in her smile. She was attracted. Those words from me soothed her soul. She needed that. 

I woke up and showered. It had to be a busy day. I have piles of work in office. So I decided to leave early. 

But I wanted to check on Vanessa. She must be sleeping. 

I quietly went to her room. She was there. Sleeping like a doll all curled up in the blanket. I could  almost sense her quite breathing. I carefully removed a flick of hair from her face. How beautiful she was. My mate. 

But to my surprise, she opened her eyes as soon as I touched her cheeks gently. 

" good morning princess.. I was going to work. Will see you at night. Feel free and easy and please dont go outside. It's not safe for you. " I said to her in my most calm way. 

She was actually shocked by my presence in her bedroom. I chuckl
