Leah's POV

"You dare say that to her after what you made her go through!" Jace growled, then tightened his grip on my hair as I screamed out in pain.

The side of my cheek was hurting badly from the brutal hit I had received, and blood was rolling down from my nose.

"Jace baby, it's me," I cried out, blinking back the tears that blurred my vision.

I let out a broken gasp when he grabbed my chin hard, hurting me even more.

"I said I would let you live for your parents' sake, and heck, I even promised myself not to be violent in front of Lillian. So why the fuck did you have to tell her that? Do you take pleasure in hurting her? She has already been through hell because of us both!" He exclaimed and then let go of my cheek and moved his hand to cover his face.

I was in shock at how he was treating me harshly over that trash.

"You are pathetic," Lucia whispered when she pulled through.

"What?" He asked in disbelief when he dropped his hand.
