Daisy’s POV

A soft knock echoed on my door, pulling me out of my half-sleep.

“What?” I asked in a rough voice that still carried the heaviness of last night’s tears.

Ever since Mother left yesterday, sleep had been almost impossible. The pack house felt quiet and too empty, and the loneliness came in waves so strong it made my chest ache. I didn’t want to see anyone last night. I’d shut everyone out, hoping silence would help. But even in the morning light, that ache still lingered.

“Alpha, I’ve brought your breakfast,” Alina’s gentle voice came from outside.

“I’m not hungry,” I replied quickly, rubbing at my eyes as I pushed myself out of bed.

The door creaked open, and before I could stop myself, I growled low. “I said I’m not hungry!” I snapped, turning around.

But my voice caught mid-breath when I saw Levi standing beside her.

“Levi… I—I didn’t—” My throat felt dry as guilt hit instantly.
