Entitled

As they stepped into the Lui mansion, Sarah felt a mix of apprehension and gratitude towards Martin. Her hand was now sewn and covered with bandage. She is so grateful for his inititave to help and genuine concern.

She looks at him, touched by his caring nature, and whispered, "Thank you for everything, Martin."

Martin smiled warmly, "Don't mention it, Sarah. I'll always be here for you. I was surprised how Adelle treated you. How could Huifen let you wear plain second hand clothes and scrub the floor?"

"You have been nice to me, Martin, and I'm grateful for that. But, I'm just an orphan whose adopted mother got bankcrupt. I'm fortunate enough for them to let me have a shelter and food."

"What?! Is that what they told you all these years?" Martin got irritated with what he is hearing.

"Please, Martin, I beg you."

Martin let out a heavy sigh, "We will deal with that when my dad comes home."

As they walk into the living room, they were met with a tense atmosphere. Mr. Alfred Lui and Huifen were seated, their faces strained with worry and confusion. Adelle, with tear-stained cheeks, sat beside them, her emotions visibly in turmoil. And at the same time, Atty. Richard Wane looks seriously at his son.

Sarah's heart sank, realizing that her presence seemed to have caused a family crisis.

She hesitated but decided to speak up, addressing Mr. Lui, "I'm sorry for the commotion, Mr. Lui. It was an accident, and Martin took care of everything. I promise to be more careful in the future."

Martin's father, Richard Wane, the lawyer of her Mama Daisy and overseer that everything will ran smoothly in her life before she reaches the legal.

He is a man of wisdom and compassion, spoke gently, "It's not just about the accident, Sarah. Martin called me how you've been treated here in your own house. And I must say, I'm deeply disappointed in Huifen and Adelle's behavior towards you. I thought, all along everything is doing well for you Sarah."

Huifen tried to interject, but Mr. Wane held up his hand, silencing her.

"No, Huifen, this needs to be addressed. It's clear that Sarah has been mistreated and overlooked, and that's not how family treats one another."

He walks towards Sarah and looks at her from head to feet. "Perhaps you never told Sarah of her rights, which I can see, her clothing and footwwear are not as fine as you wrote in your court reports, Huifen. You must have edited the photos you sent to me."

Sarah was shocked with Martin's father. She never thought there was a court agreement or reports which should be submitted in court. So all along, she was deceived by her aunt and even her uncle. It would be impossible for him not to know it.

"Mr. Wane, but I never knew about these things."  Sarah butts in with a tone of surprise evident on her voice.

"I'm sorry Sarah. I have trusted your uncle and and his wife so much, and I never heard even once you complained. You must know, you are a very rich young lady."

Huifen sniffled, "But she's not even our blood relation, she's just an adopted girl. Why are you defending her!?"

Mr. Wane's voice grew stern, "Huifen, don't ever think of someone as 'just an adopted girl.' Sarah is part of your family, and she deserves respect and love just like anyone else. Her background doesn't define her worth. And she is the lawful daughter of Daisy, which means she is the rightful heiress."

Mr. Wane threw the folders right in front of the Lui couple. "Here's the agreement you signed ten years ago. You have misused her money with your gambling's and excessive way of life through all the years you were here.."

Sarah was taken aback by Mr. Wane's revelations, and she felt tears welling up again, this time not from pain but from the overwhelming emotions stirring within her.

Mr. Lui, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke up, "Richard, I must apologize for my wife's behavior and for how we've treated Sarah. She is right; we've allowed ourselves to forget that she's family too. And from now on, we will give what is due to her."

Huifen seemed resentful and expresses her disapproval of her husband's apology. "You're impossible Alfred! You've worked so hard for the company. And you are Daisy's blood-brother! I won't let this happen. We will make an appeal to the higher court since there is no Last Will and Testament left by Daisy."

Mr. Wane laughs at Huifen. "You must know the extent of your rights. And for your information, when Daisy died, her company has already attained great success. She never had a loan because her career as an actress was at its peak and her businesses were flourishing."

His attention shifts to Alfred, "You're only at the company to represent Sarah, since she's a minor. Everyone in the company knows that, even without you the board members are very much capable to run the company. And with  Sarah's wit and intelligence as reflected in her academic records, I'm sure she would learn to manage everything well."

Sarah found her voice, "I appreciate your words, Mr. Lui. But I think it's best for me to leave after my graduation. I don't want to cause any more trouble."

Martin, who had been standing by Sarah's side, interjected, "Sarah, you don't have to leave. Your uncle and aunt know who should be leaving this house."

Mr. Wane nodded in agreement, "Martin is right. We won't allow you to be mistreated anymore. You have a right to your inheritance, and we'll make sure you get what is rightfully yours."

Huifen thought of her last card on check and glances at her daughter, who hands her an envelop.

She looks at Mr. Wane before he could continue dishing out about Sarah's inheritance. "Mr. Wane you are a lawyer, right? And you know that my daughter is technically still a minor."

Mr. Wane gave her a puzzling look, "Huifen, do not divert our conversation!"

"Just answer my question, Mr. Wane before we continue." Huifen said with a strained voice.

"What do you exactly mean by that?"

Huifen laughs, "Martin spent a night with my daughter and got her pregnant. In the eyes of law, she is still a child."

Everyone in the room are all eyes at Martin.

But Martin laughs softly, "So, Adelle, this is how you think you can get me. Why don't you tell everyone here how I helped you that night?"

Mr. Lui budges in, "Martin all I want to know, if you truly had sex with my daughter. Your answer should only be yes or no."

"Yes! Now, Mr. Lui, does that satisfy you?" Martin mockingly replies.

Alfred reacted by delivering a forceful punch to Martin's face. "I'll take legal action against you for harming my daughter!"

With bloodied and bruised lips, Martin smirked and pulled out his phone, sending something to them. "So, Alfred and Huifen, you will take a legal action on me to secure your rights on Sarah's wealth, "

Adelle gets irritated with how Martin treats heer to him, "Don't talk that way to my parents!"

Martin didn't even mind Adelle's words, "Mr. Lui, watch this, and you'll understand what kind of daughter you have." He takes out his phone from his pocket then sends a file in their e-mails.

"Martin, please don't!" Adelle pleaded, trying to intervene.

"Adelle, you wanted chaos, right? You asked for this scenario to happen. It's time they'll know what you are up to, when you go out at night. You are nothing but an addict and a nympho."

Their cellphones buzzed...

"Oh, my God!" gasps Mr. Wane.

Sarah was also shocked watching the video.

She didn't imagine her cousin would do such scandal, with her private parts all over the screen. Since she could not take it much longer, she turned off her phone.

Alfred walked towards her daughter and slapped her twice. "You disgraced yourself and your family. If this goes viral, you'll be nothing!"

Adelle was visibly upset, and tears welled up in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Dad," she choked out. "I didn't mean for things to turn out this way."

Huifen was unable to bear what she witnessed, let out a heartbreaking scream, "Noooohhh!"

Her emotions overwhelmed her, and she felt a deep sense of shock and distress at the situation.

Then, she went to shake her daughter's shoulders, "Tell me, this isn't you, tell me she just looks like you?"

Martin responds, "How could it be not her, look at the guys she's making out with, most of them are her spoiled brat classmates and she even added wanton girls to spice up her carnal fantasies. Look at them doing all sorts to her."

"Mom, I know it was a mistake, and I feel awful about it. Please believe me, this isn't what I want it to be." Adelle exclaimed, while crying.

Huifen continues to shake her daughter, "Adelle, who is the father among them?" the mother questioned anxiously.

"Mom, I don't know. I really don't know. Please forgive me," Adelle responded, her voice filled with uncertainty and remorse.

"You turned yourself into a whore!" Her mother was overcome with emotion, sobbing uncontrollably.

In her anguish, she kicked off her Louboutin shoes and tore her pearls from her neck. The tears ruined her eye makeup as she found herself sitting on the floor, feeling utterly devastated, much like a child who had been denied of a piece of candy.

"Your daughter is addicted to fentanyl  and made out with both men and women in the room. They were eight teenage guys and three girl minors like her. It got into media streaming, I immediately contacted the site where it was uploaded and paid for it.

I took her to my pad since she was high with drugs, she couldn't control her urges..."

Adelle shouted, "Stop it Martin!"

But Martin continues, "She was about to jump from the building, so I gave in to her carnal needs. Frankly, Mr. Alfred Lui, I felt so dirty that time because of the number of guys and girls she had made out with. You must know I used condom, so there's no way I would get her pregnant. And it only happened once."

Mr. Lui, removed his glasses,  and slaps again her daughter, "How many times have you've gone to that indecent bars with your friends?"

Then he turns his attention to his wife, "I'm totally fed up Huifen, take Adelle with you after her birthday ball and leave!"

Mr. Wane looks at everyone. He lets out a heavy sigh and thought of settling everything once and for all, "Martin, Alfred let's go to the study room and we shall talk. Sarah, go to your room and take a rest."

Huifen and Adelle were left at the living room. Adelle crying, Huifen furious with what her daughter did and slaps her, too. "How could you be so tainted!"

"Mom, please forgive me. I couldn't control myself sometimes, she said crying.

"Who is the father," Huifen asks while still in shock.

"I do not know, Mom! I honestly do not know! If you want, I'll just end my life now!"

She looks at her daughter and couldn't believe this is happening to her. She is so young, much younger compared when she had her. "Adelle, everything was given to you, you had options, I never had that before!"

Torn between her fury and her pity for her daughter. She hugs her and they cried together.

"Mom, please, tell me, what should I do now."

"We'll think of something better," she comforts her daughter.

How hateful she was for her daughter's promiscuity! But she was like that, too, during her younger years. She lost her virginity at 14, and since then, she slept with men of different ages.

But it was poverty that forced her to be that way. Her daughter now has everything she needs and wants, which she never had before. There should never be a reason for her to whore around.

All she could do is to blame it all to Sarah. Her daughter should haven't suffered such shame in front of her own father and future father-in-law Mr. Richard Wane, if it weren't for her presence in their lives.

Her hatred towards Sarah is growing much stronger. But she smiles wickedly for Sarah doesn't know what exactly is instored for her.
