Bruce sighed. He might have said he loved how strong-headed she was but right now, he felt his blood boiling at her obvious rejection of him. Sue had been moaning his name in her sleep, telling him how much she needed him so why was she still pushing him away?

“This is unfair,” he said. He decided getting upset whenever she pushed him away wasn’t going to solve a thing. He calmed his wolf but there was only little he could do, sooner or later his wolf was going to want to lay his claim on their mate.

“Unfair?” She scoffed. “You call this unfair?” She asked in disbelief. “There has been nothing unfair to you. I should be the one crying wolf”

She slid out of the bed and walked towards the window. “Unfair is when you bought me from a pack. Unfair is ignoring me without acknowledging our bond, unfair is bringing me here and just forgetting me. Unfair is…” She didn’t realize Bruce had walked up to her. He held her hand making the rest of her words lost in the back of her mind.
