2021-04-21 01:57:33On getting to the hospital, Adam was about getting out of the car when Jacob gave him a Premium black card of Zenith Bank.
'In there is a sum of ten billion dollars as written in the will your father left.If you need anything else you can communicate me",Jacob said giving Adam his card.
"Adam,why don't we have Amanda transferred to another hospital where she will receive the uptmost care from the best medical practitioners.Just say the word and it will be done",Jacob suggested.
"Okay then",Adam replied."Make it as early as possible tomorrow".
"Done",Jacob replied.
Adam got down and waited for the car to disappear from sight before entering the hospital.°°°°°°°
Immediately Adam got to the hospital, he went to the room his sister, Amanda was and couldn't find her.He was filled with fear and rushed out to ask of her.Luckily he found a nurse outside the room and asked her.He was told his sister had been transferred to a private room."Who had her transferred please",he could not help asking.
"You can get the details from the cashier department",the nurse snapped.
On getting to the cashier department.Adam asked for the identity of the person that had his sister transferred.
The cashier,Cindy who has always disliked him for his status looked at him in disgust and replied him.
"The sum of a million dollars was received from an anonymous source The higher-ups gave an instruction to have your sister transferred to the private ward".
"You still have a sum of five hundred thousand dollars to pay for all the treatment that had been given to her.Why am I even telling you when I know you have no means of paying but to wait for some charity".
Adam dipped his hand into his pocket to retrieve the Black card Jacob gave him.He stretched forth the card to the cashier.
Cindy looked at the card in Adam's hand in disbelief and collected it from him.
"If you wanted to deceive people, someone like me can't be easy deceived.You better start praying to your God because if I insert this in the POS machine and if the transaction is not successful,you will regret ever trying this stunt",Said Cindy.Only God knows whose card you stole,but that's your own problem inasmuch as the transaction is successful,I have no problem with you.
She inserted the card in the POS machine and was expecting it to be rejected or the machine to request for the card code but was shocked when the machine gave it free access and the withdrawal was successful.
Cindy looked from the machine to Adam and was staring at him as though he had grew horns on his head.
"My card please"Adam said snapping the cashier back to the present.
Cindy wrote the receipt and gave it alongside the card back to Adam and couldn't help but gape at Adam as he went out.
"How can he have a black card and still do not want to help his sister on time.No, maybe someone borrowed him the money or he must have stolen the card from someone.I shouldn't have allowed him to go scot-free.I should have called the security on him",concluded Cindy

Adam went to the private ward his sister was admitted in.He stood at the door and peeked at his sister who he saw was already asleep.He entered and stood by her bedside and then sat down beside her.He looked at her and touched her hand lovingly.
Just then Amanda woke up and smiled at him."Brother,how have you been"she asked.
"I should be the one asking you that",he replied.
He was about to say something again when a nurse entered to give Amanda her dose of injection.Within seconds of receiving the injection,Amanda was fast asleep.
"Soon you will be back to your usual self",Adam said to Amanda's sleeping form and kissed her forehead then he went out.

Adam got out of the hospital and checked his worn out wristwatch to see the it was already 10 'o' clock.
"How time flies when you're busy",he thought."Certainly Evelyn must be back in the house".
He tried flagging down a few cabs but none obliged to take him seeing his dressing,he was dressed in worn out clothes,almost resembling a beggar
Adam could not help but wished he still had a bike.He was forced to sell his when he needed to pay for his sister's treatment.Just the he saw a rickety cab and quickly flagged it down.The cab stopped by his side and the man extended his hand to Adam as soon as he entered the cab.
Adam frowned his face as he did not understand the man's gesture.
"Oh,you don't understand.Cash before service.Sorry if I come across as rude but I need to feed my family tonight",the cab man explained.
"No problem,I understand,I hope you accept transfers, let me scan your code".Adam replied.
Adam opened his Zenith Bank mobile app and scanned the code and transferred ten thousand dollars to the cab man's account.
"Sir, you must be mistaken,the transport fare is just a hundred and fifty dollars but you've sent ten thousand dollars,let me scan your code and have your change transferred to you"spoke the cab man
"Don't worry,let it be.You are the second person outside my family that did not judge me by my appearance", replied Adam.
"Thank you very much,I will forever remember you as my helper.Am sorry if I seem rude for asking for money upfront but a lot of people refuse paying me after getting to their destination saying my car is not fit to be on the road.This is the only thing my family depends on".
