MasukWhat do you guys think? Did Emily shot Carlos? Did she kill him? And why do you guys think the crew didn't do anything to protect Eduardo? Any idea? Let's meet on the comment section XO XO
The night sky was a heavy sheet of navy velvet, pinned in place by a moon that shone with the cold, hard brilliance of a gemstone. Outside, the ocean performed a restless symphony, waves crashing against the shore in time with the salt-kissed summer breeze. Inside, I was a mess of silk and tangled limbs, rolling from side to side in a bed that offered no sanctuary. It was nearly dawn. In a few hours, I had a meeting that required a sharp mind, and my brain always turned to sludge without sleep. But exhaustion wasn’t the only thief in the room. *Eduardo.* The name tasted like a curse and a prayer. Where was he? I felt like a widow mourning a man who wasn’t even dead—just infuriating. My life had been orderly, predictable, and remarkably dull until my father hired him. Why him? Unless Dad knew I was in danger. But from what? The threats only seemed to materialize *after* Eduardo arrived: the stranger at the ball, the whisperings of a scam, Benjamin’s sudden, violent turn.“God! Nothing
So, all of a sudden we had the urge to hire me a bodyguard. I couldn't resist his charm and we had an affair for like two days. I've never been in to trouble before we hired him but I don't have a normal day after hiring him. Sometimes I get suspicious about this weird paradox. I mean, maybe Dad already new about the upcoming problems but that doesn't make sense at all. The underground, violent people and my Dad would've never been in the same room. Hence, my Dad would've let me know, if anything like that would be happening. That all was just a weird coinsidence. So, I was facing the damage; my bodyguard that I had an affair for like two days who bailed on me was confessing his feelings to me, while there was a battle outside of my estate. I couldn't care less about his feelings in that situation. My only response would be ''Go, deal what's happening outside and end it, immediately! I am nothing but your boss, Eduardo. Go, end it and then take me to my Luna, you meddlesome bodyguard!'
Oh God! I was in Eduardo's arms. Kissing him again, feeling his soft lips pressing against mine wild, starving, yet tender and affectionate. He pinned me to the wall behind me. His lips brushed mine harder and harder with every stroke. He was thirsty for me, I could sense that and I was craving for him so damn bad. My hands reached to his neck and my fingers brushed his skin gently. Then my fingers rose to his soft, curly hair and wrapped around my fingers. I pulled his hair as I bit his lips. I even missed his beard brushing against my gentle skin in just two weeks. His physical influence on me was addictive, infectious and scarry but I never had the intentions of protecting myself from him. He was the bodyguard,he should've protected me, right? Would he?The noise of the conflict outside was mixing with our moans and wet sounds of our lips. That really did sound like a war battle out there. They were having their battle outside and I was having mine; that was my battle, Eduardo. I pu
The feeling of something shuttering inside was vivid. I could not believe that I grabbed a gun and attempt to shot someone, and I did this just for a bodyguard. Although I knew well, he was not just a bodyguard to me. I heard him shouting ''Emily!'' down there. The look on his face was telling hoe terrified he was. He should've asked me about it. I still was holding a gun between my unsteady hands and my eyes were wide open. My chest was bursting because of my heavy breath and neat heartbeat.I heard Carlos' sarcastic laughter before my eyes found him. That would've been a missed shot. Carlos was not only fine, he was also enjoying with this situation. He was moving forward and I knew his steps aimed me. I was still surprised and terrified by the crew; they were standing still and not doing anything neither to protect me nor their chief, Eduardo.Carlos was about to step Eduardo's hand on his way to me. This is when, everything turned like we were under attack. I heard sirens, there we
It was a calm evening with a summer breeze. I was dining with Carlos, discussing the terms of our new agreement. The place was dimly lit, mostly timber-furnished; the decor was dull and bland, in a Scandinavian style. The boring lounge music was so generic. Eduardo stood beside us, trying to kill Carlos with his eyes. After the unfortunate creature Benjamin’s scandal, his father canceled the contracts and agreements. I was actually surprised at how much power they had. I always thought Daddy was the biggest until that day. Any who, we were lucky to find a backup partner. Carlos’s company was as strong as Alvarado’s. Alvarado’s... That company felt like God’s hand. After the Sol Food’s money laundering scandal, they appeared like a rainbow in a stormy weather. “Would you like to have another glass of wine, Emily?” Carlos asked, very gently. “No, thank you,” I responded with a smile. “Actually, I’d call it a night here, if that’s fine with you too.” We had talked about the terms, be
If the gaze of someone were used as a knife, Eduardo’s eyes would be sharp enough to cut the air. Neither was Dad’s intention to offend him, nor to insult. That was just a generous gesture for doing his job right. God, Eduardo’s dignity was like another person in the room; it was that sharp. How could Dad not see something like that? He didn’t even bother to lean down and pick the keys up. “I appreciate your generous offer, Sir Arquette,” he said with a responsive tone, but I could sense the mild flavor of his anger hidden underneath. “Please don’t take me wrong, but I didn’t help an abused woman in exchange for anything. Now, if you’ll please excuse me…” he said and walked back to his room. “What did I do wrong?” Dad questioned himself. “You didn’t mean to offend him, I know, Daddy. However, he is too strict with his pride.” “I have never met anyone like that before,” he said. “Miranda would have thrilled, for example.” “Miranda is a greedy person, Dad. All she wants is someone’s
