LOGINI was sitting in the backseat of my car on my way to work as usual. The one and only unusual thing was Eduardo that morning. That was unusual of me to spend the night with an employee and go to work with him. And the morning was pretty much unusual as well.
I blamed him because of his strange and conflicting behavior but I was the same when he came to the shower to make up for things. Although I wanted to enjoy his kisses and caresses I tried my best to hold my horses so I could do the right thing. Right thing… How do we define the so called “right thing”? Spending the night with the one who is barely known does not sound like a right thing to me. Feeling him was so right though. Falling asleep in his arms and sensing my skin brushing his gently as I was waking up was feeling so right too. That feeling was like home to me. I could imagine myself waking up like that for the rest of my life and this is what I can call right! My gaze caught his sight through the rearview mirror. It was different than last night his eyes had compassion desire lust adoration bliss… Now all that was erased as the sun rose. It was like sun rays vanished all those feelings and replaced them with pure rage. I had to talk to him as soon as possible to sort things out. I owed an apology to him. I heard my phone ringing and I was grateful for that somehow. I was going to be drowned in the flood of my emotional thoughts. It was Bernardo calling. “I am on my way Bernardo. See you in ten minutes” I said immediately. “I am calling you for the bombshell you fool” he said. “What bombshell?” I said with a voice tone that showed my pure interest. “The Sol Food is being investigated because of money laundering.” “What!” My response made both Eduardo and my chauffeur check me if I was okay. “You heard me right lady. Their financial department and CEO are in pre-trial detention already.” “Send our lawyers to see if there’s something that would concern us. We are about to sign a contract with them and that’s why we interacted for a long time.” “Already sent darling but I don’t think there is anything to concern us.” “How do you know?” “It’s because Alvarado’s reported them.” “Do you mean The Alvarado Group?” “What’s with the Alvarado Group?” said Eduardo with a lot of interest. “Yes Pedro Alvarado has reported them himself” said Bernardo. I was talking to Bernardo but Eduardo’s eyes were on me with a lot of interest and wonder. “Isn’t it strange Bernardo? I mean they had no business interactions as far as I’ve known right? They aren’t even investing in the same industries. The Sol Food is all about catering and tourism on the other hand The Alvarado’s are in construction and software majorly. I am sniffing a gas leak how about you Bernardo?” “Same here!” We were passing by my favorite coffee shop so I had to hang up the call. “Let’s talk about it once I am there. Gotta grab a coffee.” “Okay see you.” “Tada…” “Ma’am pardon me for my curiosity but did you mention Alvarado Group? As in the CEO Pedro Alvarado?” “Yes I did. Why are you asking? Do you know about them?” I stopped my chauffeur before Eduardo’s response or else we were about to pass the coffee shop. “We need to stop by here for a coffee.” My chauffeur would be getting my coffee for me as usual but I wanted to be alone with Eduardo. So getting a coffee with my bodyguard’s watch would be a great idea. “I am going to get my coffee myself this morning. I am craving some pastry it’s better for me to pick myself” I said. “I asked you a question” said Eduardo impatiently. “We are going to be talking about it while getting coffee Eduardo be patient.” He got off the car and opened my door. “Sol Food was being reported for money laundering by Alvarado Group” I said. His facial reaction was like he heard about the news that he already was waiting for. “Yes that’s the company that you warned me about at the masquerade. Thank you so much Eduardo. If it weren’t for you the contracts had already been signed by our end by now.” “I guess I was lucky that night.” “No I am the lucky one. You protect by all the meanings.” “I do my job” he said back to his seriousness. I wanted to link his arm as we were a couple, to take a step to Eduardo but he stopped me. “I don’t think this kind of service would define my responsibilities of this position right?” “Eduardo I am sorry for this morning. You have all the rights to be mad at me. My mind is as messed up as yours.” “I am not mad at you. I am mad at myself. I shouldn’t have crossed the lines at first. I am just a bodyguard just a servant of yours… It was just a night that you couldn’t resist that’s it. I have no right to ask for more. I cannot carry a relationship with you after all aren’t I?” He was probably thinking about all these when I was up. Although he was right I didn’t want to accept it. All I wanted was to be close to him. I don’t know maybe I was fallen for him maybe I already fell… I was about to tell him that’s not true but I heard a voice from my past to turn my head. “Oh my God! Emily is that you?” he said. Oh that was not the right time that was so not the right time… I desperately carried my eyes between Eduardo and Benjamin my college sweetheart.I am looking for your support and comments Xo xo
Eduardo's lips were pressing wildly against mine as if dancing a rough tango. I was hooked by his captivating moves. I wanted to resist, yet his kisses and his touch were so irresistible. Somehow, I managed to push him by the shoulder and said weakly, between my moans and gasps, "Eduardo, stop." I was fine with him touching me, but knowing that he'd been starving didn’t feel right. He didn’t mind me and put his head between my breasts, kissing them roughly and biting gently..."Please," I said desperately, before it was too late, "you must be hungry, eat something first.""You have no idea, I am starving to death, so feed me," he said before cupping one of my breasts and shoving it whole into his mouth, with the gown still covering it.The silk coat above my skin got wet from his pressing tongue against my nipple. I grabbed him by the neck and forced him back. Then I couldn’t resist that eager look in his eyes, that raw expression on his face, and kissed him passionately. My fingers p
The night was pitch black when I opened my eyes. My mouth was dry as hell, as if I had every dust of the Sahara Desert filled in it. The feeling of the satin gown gently brushing against my slightly damp skin wasn’t the only thing wrapping around my waist. Eduardo’s strong, captivating arms held me tight, his head buried in my neck. I could feel his warm breath on my skin with every exhale. How could he even breathe in that position? He was going to choke in his sleep. After we came home, he carried me to the master bedroom. I wanted him to stay while I was getting ready for bed. His presence by my side gave me an undefined coziness and comfort. I was feeling too tired in every way, so lying beside him for a little while seemed like a good idea.He didn’t say no and lay down beside me until I fell asleep again. He kept brushing my hair gently as I buried my face on his chest and wrapped my arms around his waist. I heard him humming in a fading tone, but I could hear it anyway.I didn’
Eduardo had always been so sweet, caring, considerate, and demanding. Just because I was upset about my long-gone phone, he thought my concern was purchasing a new one. However, I was overwhelmed by thinking about the data transfer from the cloud—that was massive.I smiled gently back at him and reached out for a gentle kiss. That was the only habit of pleasure for me lately."I can get myself a new phone, you silly," I mocked him. "Sometimes you forget who I really am."His facial expression changed in an instant. He seemed like I said something to offend him, as if I had insulted him."Do you think I am not aware of your wealth?" he snapped. "Do you think I thought you wouldn't be able to buy yourself a new phone, Emily?"There we go again! I rolled my eyes to show him that I didn't want to be in this argument anymore."For once, Emily," he said, "just for this once, let me feel like a man. I wanted to provide for you. What's wrong with that?"I gently brushed my temple."You have do
I literally snapped out of the diner and stormed out onto the street. I was filled with pure adrenaline—adrenaline fueled by anger, excitement, and even confusion.Confusion about Eduardo. How could he leave me alone and go dining without informing me? How could he possibly know someone so important that he would need their help for a multi-million-dollar investment? How did a mere coincidence at lunch turn into an arranged marriage proposal?Bernardo was running after me, trying to catch up. "Emily," he shouted, "wait!"I didn’t stop but slowed my hurried steps."What was that?" he asked, his head clearly in a mess. Then Eduardo met my gaze, running toward us. I had a lot to deal with regarding him, but before that, what was urgent to me was to wrap my arms around his neck and hug him."I'm sorry," I whispered into his ear, "you shouldn’t have seen that."His gentle hands brushed my back, pausing for a moment, then he replied, "I’m the one who should apologize."I pulled back slightl
Eduardo choked on his wine after he heard Seniora Los Santos call him "son." The color drained from his face, and his eyes welled up slightly... I was kind of worried about him. The wine must have been hard for him to swallow. I pulled a napkin and wiped his tears, then passed him the glass of water I had in front of me. My lipstick mark was on the edge of the rim, but that was the only water available at that moment. I held his hand as I passed the glass for him to drink."Are you okay?" I asked. "Do you need some fresh air?"He shook his head. "The water will be enough, thank you," he responded and took a sip."Do you always treat your employees like that, Emily?" Seniora asked. She didn’t seem curious at all; she was asking because she had figured out the spark between us. She probably expected me to deny it, but I never even considered that. Not once did it cross my mind. As an Arquette, I had always been a woman of my word and stood behind my actions, whether right or wrong.I was
I froze for a long moment, as if my feet were buried underground. My voice was totally gone. I never expected Eduardo to know someone like Seniora Los Santos. Not only did he know her, he was close to her. They were hugging each other warmly. How could that be?The timing couldn’t have been worse; the wine I sent to their table made them notice me. Eduardo's expression changed immediately. He looked as if he were seeing me for the first time in his life.I read his lips as he whispered my name, "Emily!"Then I saw another familiar face entering; it was his friend from that night—the owner of the farm where Eduardo took my mare, Luna. I recalled him vividly because he kept calling Eduardo "The Almighty Don" that night. Eduardo had told me he was only mocking him because of his hometown. My eyes met Seniora Los Santos'. She turned her face toward me, and a faint smile appeared as a greeting. I swallowed hard to clear the knot in my throat—though I didn't know why it was there—and forced
