Hudson's POV

My feet planted firmly on the ground, I couldn't move as I watched my daughter dash up the stairs. Never before had I felt such overwhelming guilt. My heart beat furiously in my chest, while every inch of my skin felt like it was being torn apart. A throbbing headache seized my head. Ximena's words played on repeat in my mind, "If I leave, you will never see me again." Did she know she was going to die? I still couldn't believe what I had heard. What have I done? I was the one who killed her. Why couldn't I have been more understanding? Why didn't I make room for her? What came over me? Why did I push her away? And why didn't I listen to her? She had pleaded with me, begged me to see reason.

I roared in frustration, dropping down to the ground. I had lost the love of my life. I had robbed my daughter of her mother- again. "You need to calm down, Hudson," Mila said, trying to comfort me.

"Don't touch me!" I bellowed, jumping up and running upstairs. Everything was my fault
