I'm SORRY

Sophie's POV

Sophie paced the length and breadth of her apartment. Her palms were so sweaty and she kept rubbing them on her dress with a nervous, trembling smile.

“I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. It's just that I didn't ask for you to step in...” She stopped, trailing off with a groan.

“No, no.” She cried into her hands. That didn't sound right even to her ears and it made her even more uneasy.

“Okay, okay. It's alright, Sophie. Breathe.” In her own words, she breathed in deeply and exhaled right after. She repeated the motions a few more times before she finally straightened and headed for her full-length mirror.

Standing right in front of it, she practiced her words the same way she had been doing earlier.

“I know what I did was wrong. And I haven't exactly been nice to you since you moved in. I get that but you almost ripped off my one million dress!” She screamed at the last part and grimaced.
