Chapter 66

Gun's fists were clenched tightly as he sat outside the emergency room. He wanted to punch the wall like he had done before, but he didn't want Arielle to worry if she saw his hands injured. The last time he did that, the young woman got angry and worried about him. She made him promise her that he wouldn't hurt himself again if her life was put in danger.

The veins on his hands are almost bursting from the tightness of his fists, and his teeth are grinding. He blames himself for why Arielle's life is in danger again. If only he had been more attentive, if only he hadn't left her, this might not have happened. If anything bad happens to Arielle, he will never forgive himself.

When he saw a doctor come out of the emergency room, he immediately stood up and approached him.

"Are you a relative of the patient?" the doctor asked him.

"No, Doctor. But I am her boyfriend and her guardian," he quickly answered the doctor without hesitation.
