She replied mentally cursing herself for not thinking about that.

He said and went on his way.

She tried calling Devon but he didn't pick up, she didn't want to believe that he was purposely avoiding her call so she called him a couple of times more but he still didn't pick up so she called Mark instead and he picked on the first ring.

"Mark, where are you guys?"

She asked as soon as he said hello, she didn't even bother to reply to his greeting, which she knew was rude but she was far too concerned about her patient's well-being to care about how rude she was if there is a rip or any sort of complications she has a lot to answer to. Even though Devon had not had any complications so far, it can't still be ruled out completely cuz they were still counting days after his surgery not weeks too early for him to be already up and about she hoped they didn't go far.
