CHAPTER 47

Riella's POV.

I tried to comport myself as I stared at him, watching the different emotions flickering through his face. First, it was utter shock, then amusement and now the latter, I wasn't sure since he withdrew into a blank stare. You had thought he was deprived of his favorite possession.

“And what are you doing here?” He didn't snap, didn't grumble. He just went flat and dry like he was bored but his expression was cold, his look was stressed and I wondered why.

“Matilda's bachelorette,” I stated simply as I filded with my fingers. “I didn't know you were around, ” I felt the need to add to the scrutinizing gaze he sent me.

“Ah ah, I see.” He mused, thoroughly amused. His chuckle wasn't amusing though even if it sent my insides fluttering. They were mocking and his stare was condescending.

“I-Is there a problem?” I nearly stuttered, trying to keep my composure as I met his eyes.

“Oh, of course, there is plenty. My fucking PA after I've given her the week off last week thought it
