Harrold's POV.

I climbed down the stairs, taking one step after the other. I could hear the loud chattering coming from the dining room and that made me hasten my footstep toward there.

“Good morning, house.” I pulled back a chair and took my seat. Matilda who was seated opposite me placed her mug of whatever back on the table.

“Good morning, Harrold.” She sent me a wink before grabbing her cutleries again to eat what was on her plate.

“Hm, good morning boss.” Damien sent me a mock bow that had me chuckling lightly.

James walked in and poured me a cup of coffee, added some toast, and placed it before me. I ate immediately while still conscious of the time.

“Dad praised your efforts when we spoke yesterday. You must have done a very nice job.” I started, flickering my gaze toward Matilda who was now busy looking through something on her phone.

“Of course, he would.” She shrugged like the compliment meant nothing to her. Then, she looked away from her phone at me. “Listen, we will be go
