14. ANOTHER SUSPICION

Tom has been furious all day because of what happened at the office. He spent all day trying to fix the error that was made by the carelessness of his secretary, but no matter how he tried to cut it short, the loss was still more than he could imagine.

Upon entering the house to see what his mother was doing in the kitchen so late at night, just because a spoiled brat was not satisfied with what was originally prepared for dinner fueled his anger more.

“Why would you stress her to make another round of food? You can easily order in whatever you want to eat or just eat what was prepared”, he growled at Joseph, who didn’t even feel any remorse.

“Why is she in the house if she cannot cook for me? She should do this to fill in for the nothing she does. Don’t you think?”, said Joseph with a shrug, and that was the height of it for him.

He gave him a hot slap across his right cheek which made him stagger in shock.

“What did you just do?” Joseph asked in horror.

“I slapped the sense tha
