When I walked back into the room, Viktor looked up.I handed the phone back without a word.

His eyes lingered on my face for a second longer than usual but he didn’t ask me anything

“I’m heading to the hotel,” he said.

“Can you drop me somewhere?” I asked

“Where?”

“I’m meeting Elena.”
