EIGHTY ONE

RALIA

I woke up that fateful morning with a slight head ache, which the doctor had told me earlier on that as long as it was mild, it was not an issue.

But apart from the head ache, I still could not shake off the uneasy feelings I had within me, like something really bad was about to happy

But I could not place my hand on what it was, and it scared me to the bone.

It had been few weeks since Cheyenne had visited, and more than ever I looked forward to her next visitation. I hoped it would not be long.

I lay alone on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Lesley had traveled out of town for what he called a business trip for over a week, and I had no idea when he was coming back.

I slowly rubbed my stomach, I had been experiencing a lot of discomfort there for sometime, and I had sent for the doctor who was supposed to arrive later in the day to check up on me.
