THE DEAL

ROB’S POV

“Without Bianca, I can’t win,” I said.

Victor laughed. “You’re so pathetic, Roberto. You’re so weak that you let a woman control you. You let her walk you like a dog in the park. Wagging its tail just to be with its owner.”

Maybe he said that to hurt my “masculinity” but I didn’t care. I’d be anything she asked me to be.

“I’m not leaving her. I’ll find a way to get her out myself. Stay away from us,” I said.

My hand itched to pull my gun and kill him but the fact that he was the only way to find my sister made me hesitate.

“I know how much guilt you feel not being able to help your mother and father. Finding out your sister survived will make it easier on you. You’re choosing Bianca over your own sister?” He asked with a smile.

“I’m not choosing. I’ll find my sister without your help and I’ll get Bianca out. Don’t talk about my parents like you weren’t responsible for their deaths,” I responded.

Victor’s smile didn’t falter. If anything, it deepened, like my defiance w

  • MY EX ENEMY IS OBSESSED WITH ME   BUGGIN

ROB’S POV I hesitated for a bit. I could grab Bianca and make a run for it. We could buy a remote island and just escape from this madness. But she loved her career, and she loved her life here. I couldn’t be selfish now. The waiter who led her here stood behind her, a gun raised to her head. So I kissed Vanessa and broke her heart instead. I felt every ounce of myself screaming against it, every instinct in my body telling me to pull back, to shove her away and take Bianca with me. But the gun pointed at her, the gun she couldn’t see, didn’t give me a choice. Her champagne glass shattered as it hit the ground and I broke the kiss. “Rob, are you fucking insane?” She asked. “He’s not. You think we spent a year together playing Uno?” Vanessa taunted her. Bianca’s eyes didn’t leave mine. “You told me you weren’t intimate with her.” “He lied,” Vanessa stepped in. “You’re interrupting please leave.” “Rob…” Bianca’s eyes made my heart twist. The waiter

  • MY EX ENEMY IS OBSESSED WITH ME   DYNAMITE

BIANCA POVThe cell gate opening woke me up from my sleep. I rubbed my eyes to see clearly. Rob was there with the prison ward staff. I smiled when I saw him. Did he figure out a way to save me? Or did he take the deal to stay away from me?“Rob, you can’t tell how relieved I am to see you,” I said, walking into his embrace as he stepped into my cell. “I’m here to get you out,” he said. “Really? Did you accept the deal?” I asked. He hesitated. “N-o. I figured out a way to get you out myself.”He couldn’t look me in the eye. Something wasn’t right but I couldn’t tell what it was. Maybe it’s because he had to face his uncle again—his uncle who murdered his family. I touched his cheek. “I’m sorry you had to face him for me. If it’s any consolation, being away from you at this time was torture. I want to be with you, always. We don’t have to get a divorce.”He didn’t look too excited to hear that. Yeah, something was wrong with my Roberto. He kissed my forehead but it felt forced.

  • MY EX ENEMY IS OBSESSED WITH ME   WINDY

ROB’S POVBy nightfall I was restless. I couldn’t sit still. I kept turning the phone back on and then shutting it off again. No more messages came through but that didn’t calm me. It only meant they were already moving.I tried to see Bianca but they wouldn’t let me. This was either Victor’s or Camilla’s doing. I grabbed my jacket and left the apartment. If they wanted me at Bianca’s house then I would be there as long as she gets out of the cell unscathed. I thought of her face when she had seen the crime scene for the first time. She had stayed strong but I knew how much it tore her inside.I reached her house and stopped across the street. It looked empty but I walked in anyway. The door was locked but the key was still with me. I pushed inside and the silence hit me hard. Everything looked the same but I could feel it wasn’t.I checked the living room first. Nothing. The kitchen. Nothing. Then I went upstairs. Her bedroom door was slightly open.I pushed it and the smell of c

  • MY EX ENEMY IS OBSESSED WITH ME   ANONYMOUS

BIANCA’S POVI had no idea a crowd had formed outside the firm. Reporters stood outside with microphones and cameras, asking me questions. “Is it true you were behind the murder of Mr Brown Clarke?”“Why did you kill that poor sweet lady, Mrs Bayerns?”“Will your family stop this case with their affluence and wealth?”I didn’t respond as the policewoman led me to the car. Jason stepped out behind me. “Look at her face, everyone. That’s the face of my father’s murderer. Justice can be delayed but not denied.”Ironic as he was the one in contact with the broker. But I couldn’t say that without incriminating myself so I kept quiet. Someone from the crowd threw coffee at my white top and screamed. “Murderer.”Soon, others followed and the crowd turned aggressive as my security team fought to hold them back. The coffee soaked through my blouse, dripping warm down my skin, but I didn’t flinch. I wouldn’t give them the satisfaction. The shouts grew louder, a storm of voices crashing agai

  • MY EX ENEMY IS OBSESSED WITH ME   PRISON

BIANCA’S POVThe room felt colder when I stepped back inside. Detective Morris didn’t sit this time. He stood with the file closed in his hand and his eyes locked on me. “I’m going to give you one last chance to come clean, Miss. I know you think I have something against you but trust me, I interrogate everyone the same way,” he said. “If this is about what Jason said, ignore it. He tends to be a douche. Now, can I please go submit my resignation letter?” I asked. “Resignation? Then it’s a good thing we did this today. Caught you just in time.”I scoffed. “Detective please don’t waste my time. It’s been a year, let it go.”The officers were already setting up a laptop on the table and the screen glowed bright against the dim lights.“Someone tipped us off that there was evidence in your possession,” he said. “I sent a team to your house.”My chest tightened. “You searched my house without my permission? Isn’t that a crime?”“If we didn’t find proof it would have been,” he said. “
