Ronan’s POV

The water slid down my skin in quiet rivulets as I stepped out of the bathroom, steam curling around me like ghostly fingers. Droplets clung to my chest, trailing slowly across the scars and muscles. The towel slung low on my hips was the only barrier between me and the cold air of the room, which hit me like a whisper-soft but biting.

Lena was already there.

She stood near the bed, her back straight, posture composed — too composed. I recognized the stiffness in her shoulders, the way her hand lingered just a second too long on the clothes she’d laid out for me. My shirt, trousers, and now, a tailored dark jacket she added beside them like the finishing touch of a ritual she’d performed a thousand times.

“How was your day at the company today?” she asked, voice casual, too casual — masking something. She didn’t look at me right away, but I could feel her eyes tracking my movements, cataloging every shift of my expression.

“Not bad,” I replied, reaching for the towel to dr

Damien’s POV“Why should I believe you, Damien?” The voice cut through the silence like a razor, cold and sharp—unforgiving. He stepped forward, the flicker of disdain in his eyes igniting the tension in the room. “If you couldn’t get here within seven days, what makes you think a few more days would be any better?”The question wasn’t just a question. It was a challenge, a condemnation wrapped in cold calculation. I swallowed hard, the dryness in my throat making it feel like sandpaper as I fought to steady my voice.“I—” I began, but the words stuck, heavy as lead.He didn’t let me off the hook. Instead, he leaned in, his presence suffocating. “I have a feeling you’re trying to fool me, Damien,” he said, eyes narrowing into slits. “You actually have the nerve to come into my mansion, spewing lies and expecting me to just let you walk out?”His words landed like blows, relentless and merciless.I could feel the heat rising to my face, but I refused to show weakness—not here, not now

  • THE DEVIL'S POSSESSION   Chapter Thirty Five: I Need Your Help

Selene’s POVRonan’s motorcycle rolled into the mansion’s expansive driveway, its engine humming low like the growl of a satisfied beast. The tires crunched against the gravel as he brought it to a smooth halt in the private parking lot. The cold wind still kissed my cheeks as I slowly climbed down, my legs shaky—not just from the ride, but from everything that had happened today.I pulled off the helmet, strands of my hair tumbling free like silk unraveling from a ribbon. Wordlessly, I handed it to him. Our fingers brushed for the briefest moment—warm skin against warm skin—and it shouldn’t have meant anything, but it did. Just a flicker. A pulse. He took the helmet, nodding once. “You should go get some rest,” he said, his voice low, slightly hoarse. “Today was... a lot.”I nodded, not trusting myself to speak too much. “Thank you,” I said simply, softly. His lips lifted in the smallest of smirks, that signature Ronan expression—mischievous but unreadable. He turned without another

  • THE DEVIL'S POSSESSION   Chapter Thirty Four: Ronan Can Never Have You

Selene’s POV“Well, I think that’s enough talking about Seigo’s death,” Ronan said abruptly, his voice low but sharp, cutting through the thick tension lingering in the air like a knife. His dark eyes flicked toward me, unreadable, but with a hint of challenge. Let’s get to why you’re really here, they seemed to say.He shifted in his seat, the subtle movement betraying the storm barely contained beneath his calm exterior. “What would you like, damsel?” he asked, tossing the menu toward me with an almost teasing ease. His voice held a lightness that didn’t quite match the weight of the room, and for a moment, I caught a glimpse of something else — maybe a flicker of warmth, or was it just another mask?I glanced down at the menu, though it felt heavier than the leather-bound book in my hands like I was being handed the choice of more than just food. What do I want? “I think you should choose,” I said, pushing the menu back toward him. “You’ve been here before, so you’ll know what tas

Selene’s POVI stood up slowly, brushing invisible dust from my skirt to distract myself from the storm inside my chest. Ronan didn't say a word. He simply started walking toward the door, and I trailed behind, unsure of what this spontaneous journey entailed. He didn’t take the usual route. Instead, he veered left, down a corridor I hadn’t noticed before—cold, dim, and uninviting like it had secrets to keep. At the end stood a matte black door, flush with the wall, nearly invisible to the untrained eye. A biometric scanner blinked silently beside it. He pressed his thumb to it, and after a mechanical beep, the door slid open.Cool air greeted us, and a low hum echoed as we stepped inside. The walls were lined with dim blue lights, and parked in the center—like a beast at rest—was a black power bike, polished to perfection, sleek as sin.“Meet my baby, Angelica,” Ronan said with a grin, his voice soaked in pride and fondness.I blinked. Did he just call the bike… baby?“You named your

Selene's POVI sighed, a deep, shaky breath escaping my lips as I turned away from him. Arguing with Ronan wouldn’t solve anything—not now, not ever. He was stubborn, terrifyingly decisive, and far too dangerous for me to handle like any other man. The real problem wasn’t the blood, or his refusal to go to the hospital—it was the terrifying fact that I was beginning to lose control of my own heart. My emotions weren’t just tangled. They were choking me.His gaze burned into me, unwavering, unblinking. I could feel it without looking. There was something about the way Ronan stared—like I was the only thing anchoring him to reality. Like I was both his salvation and his downfall."What if you actually regretted loving me?" I asked, the words spilling out before I could stop them. My voice was quieter than usual, uncertain. He chuckled, low and disbelieving. "What the hell are you talking about?"He tilted his head slightly, studying me like I’d grown another head."I won't say I've been
