Disappointment settled heavily in Elliot's chest, making him fall into a series of dark thoughts. Elliot leaned his back against the cold wall directly outside his father's private ward, his hands shoved deep into the pockets of his trousers.A middle -aged doctor stepped out of the room and slid the glass door shut behind him.Elliot straightened up."How's he? is he awake?" he asked."Yeah, he's awake. His vitals have been stabilized. We're keeping the toxicology counters active in his IV to flush the rest of the Aconitum out of his system. But his heart took a massive hit today. Jade sat down on his couch. He was now clad in a black t-shirt and ash jogger pants. His eyes were fixed on the coffee table. The suspension letter sat right on it. A few feet away, Mendez was pacing a relentless track back and forth across the floor. His phone was pressed hard to his ear , his face tight with anxiety and protective uncle-fury."Look, I don't care if the GM is in a meeting, you pull him out right fucking now!"
