“I knew what I meant when I told you to keep it a secret until you are very sure of it,” Jordan whispered to Orion, taking his eyes off his computer, and he buried his face in his palms for a while, different thoughts running through his head. “I knew something like this was going to happen.”

“Sooner or later, it was going to happen,” Jordan added, hardening his jaw.

“I also had my reasons,” Orion muttered under his breath, widening his hands for a second. “But in the end, it turns out that you were the right one.”

“I'm at fault, and it's something I know of, you don't need to repeat it,” Orion said to Jordan who still remained in that position— his face buried in his palms.

Silence filled the room, and the only thing that could be heard was the continuous tick of the wall clock.

“You know, we could have actually kept it a secret until we find a concrete reason to carry a cop along, and while we're on it, we'll make sure he tells no one, not until we get to a point where the trut

“What do you mean he's the only one that knows something about it?” Jake's voice filled the room as he adjusted his tie before taking his seat with a sharp inhale. Damon shrugged on the chair, crossing his legs with a worry etched face. “How do you expect me to know?”“I thought the only thing left was the sentence that was going to be passed to that bastard that calls himself Donovan, I had taken my mind off every other thing,” you could sense the frustration in his tone, and with a heavy sigh he placed his index between his upper lip and his nostril, using his thumb to support his chin. “Don't you think he will be chanced to see her way too much than he should?” Jake asked, staring at the wall clock, knowing fully that he had a surgery about three hours from that time. “Or am I mistaken?” Damon swallowed hard instead of replying, tapping his feet on the floor before his lips parted open. “H- honestly, if i- it…” he paused to pick his words carefully, and in that moment you could

“It's a surprise that the cops are yet to come for them though, I have to admit,” Nessa's voice could be heard in the hallway as she walked with Orion by her side. “Also a good thing actually.” Orion halted in his movement, turning to her for a brief second before nodding gently. “Thought your first sentence was going to be the end.” Nessa chuckled, staring at Orion for a second before looking forward, and she held the file closer to her chest, slightly lowering her head to one of the workers who greeted in the same way as she did. “Do you really think Elysia did it?” Orion asked as they made their way to the meeting room in Solace press. For a heartbeat Nessa hardened her jaw, like the question pressed a certain button in her body, making her come to an abrupt stop, although it was just for a second, and while she was waiting to come up with an answer, a man walked out of the place, approaching Orion and Nessa with his hands placed together at his front. “Mr. Belmont?” The man a

‘It's been two days since the death of the widely known cop, Brandon Michaels; a respected cop who served well during his time on earth but unfortunately, his life was cut short by a man whose face was behind a mask, and even till today, this person is yet to be discovered, and—’The voice over the news came to a stop immediately Calvin turned off the television, and immediately silence filled the room he returned to his previous position, continuing the pushups he was on the verge of completing. “One fifty-two, fifty-three…” he paused for a second, his hands shaking slightly, but he shook his head, going down again. “One sixty!” His breath quickened as he took his seat on the floor, picking up his phone from the small table where he kept it. “Free day indeed,” he muttered under his breath, dropping his phone on the table once again before he finally walked out of the room, and the next stop was his bathroom where he closed the door after changing into a towel.Half an hour was all

“What’s that?” Elysia asked the moment she walked into her office. Damon pushed the phone away from his side on the table before pushing his hair backward. “Nothing, was just checking the internet for some things.” “To know what people are saying actually,” he added, rubbing his temples lightly before shifting in his seat to make eye contact with Elysia without stress. Elysia halted in her steps, moving her gaze to the air conditioner since the office appeared to be silent.“Do you really care about what people say?” She asked, placing her hands on her waist before moving it to her forehead as she let out a sigh. “Tell me, do you?” “We have to stay updated Elysia,” Damon rose to his feet, making sure their eyes were fixed. “One of us at the very least has to do that, and yeah, I know your work demands total concentration, so I can just do that for you.” “Your work is not any different Damon,” she replied to him, no sign of emotion in her eyes. “You really need to stay alert on so

Seraphina smiled, watching the man in a mask shoot at the screen, and everything went blank. “Wow,” she mouthed, covering herself very well with the blanket, and she giggled softly, picking up the wine that was at her side, on a small stool. “Who would have thought the table was going to turn this fast?” There was no lie in what she said, given that even Donovan was on the verge of giving up, but in the end, he found a way to drop a masterpiece, and judging by the shock that made its way to Seraphina's face, you could tell that she was not aware that someone was going to die. “Elysia?” The disgust in her tone was undeniable, and not just that, her face also contorted in disgust right after that name left her mouth. “Bitch thought she had a go at it.” While she was in the room, she heard a knock on the door, and in the blink of an eye she emptied the glass, roughing her hair, and not just that, she also acted like she had just lost a beloved one. “Orion,” she called out in a wea
