I could still hear voices around but no one was in the hallway. As I got closer to the room Adrian slept in, the voices grew louder.

I found the door handle, turned it and pushed the door open. A sharp gulp followed when I saw Elena in the room.

Adrian, who was speaking to her with a serious face, paused when he saw me, his mouth half open.

‘What did you expect Clara?’ I asked myself. ‘What did you expect to see? Of course he still loves her and she still comes to see him.’
