Adrian picked the call and placed the phone close to his ear.

"Hello?" Doctor Rob's voice was firm as always.

"Mr. Adrian, your grandfather is awake. You can come to see him. And inform your wife as well. We've been trying to reach her but her number is off."

Adrian didn't say a word, his eyes stared into nothing as he pressed the phone to his ear until the call disconnected.
