“Mummy, mummy! Sabastian is still playing games. He won’t listen to me,” Elara complained as she ran into Isla’s room.

Isla was inside the walk-in closet, standing between rows of neatly arranged clothes, still searching for a particular outfit. She turned her head toward her daughter immediately.

“Elara, go and get ready,” Isla said calmly. “I will get Sabastian myself, okay?”

“Okay, mummy,” Elara replied cheerfully.

She quickly ran out and headed back to her room.

Isla sighed softly and turned her attention back to the closet.

“Gabriel, you really need to do something about Sabastian now,” she called out. “We are already running late.”

Gabriel was already fully dressed. His black suit fitted his body perfectly, clean and sharp. His dark brown hair was neatly styled, and everything about him looked controlled and effortless.

He stepped away from the vanity mirror and walked back into the walk-in closet where Isla was still searching.

He paused in front of her.

Gabriel was alone in the swimming pool behind the island mansion. The water was calm, clear, and cool against his skin as he glided slowly from one end to the other. Each stroke was unhurried, it was relaxed. Above him, the morning sky was blue, the sun already warm and soothing. As he swam, his mind drifted backward into a memory he had carried for most of his life. At that time, he was a child. It was during Wyatt’s birthday party. He remembered standing too close to the pool, not knowing how to swim, not understanding danger. Then a sudden push from behind, and he fell. Someone had pushed him into the water. Someone who didn't know that he couldn't swim. His arms had flailed wildly as he tried to scream, but instead, water rushed into his mouth and nose, burning his chest. He was drowning, truly drowning. His vision blurred, his body growing weak as fear swallowed him. Death was close that day. But small hands which were strong caught him. It was an angel. She jumped into th

The kiss was so deep and passionate. Gabriel didn’t pull away from the kiss immediately. He made sure he claimed everything in Isla's mouth, stealing her breath away. For a few seconds, the world around them faded. There was no island, no mansion, no friends watching. It was just Isla and Gabriel—heart to heart, breath to breath, love pressed into every second of the kiss. Then clapping from their friends broke the moment. They clapped, cheered and whistled. It was a happy moment. “Finally!” Peter shouted, laughing loudly. Sofie clapped excitedly beside him, her eyes shining. “You two are going to give us diabetes with all this sweetness!” Sofie's words made everyone chuckle more. The laughter didn't stop. Benjamin laughed, wrapping an arm around Betsy’s shoulders. “I told you this anniversary would be unforgettable.” He whispered the words into Betsy's ear. Isla pulled back, her cheeks flushed, her eyes bright with happiness and tears. She buried her face briefly in Gabriel’

The helicopter flew smoothly over the wide, dark ocean, its steady sound filling the quiet night sky. The lights inside were dim, calm, almost dreamlike. Isla shifted slightly in her seat. Her brows pulled together as she frowned in confusion. Slowly, her lashes fluttered, and she blinked once and again, before her eyes finally opened. For a few seconds, she didn’t understand where she was. Her heart skipped as awareness rushed in instantly. The strange vibration beneath her, the hum in her ears and the cold glass beside her. She quickly grabbed it, she was inside a helicopter. Isla straightened immediately, panic flashing across her face. “Gabriel,” she called out, her voice stiff with worry as she turned toward him. “What’s going on? Where are we going?” She searched his face for answers, but before Gabriel could even open his mouth to reply, something caught Isla’s attention. Her eyes drifted toward the window. And then she saw something amazing. An island slowly came into vi

Tomorrow would mark the ninth year of marriage between Gabriel and Isla Wyndham. Just a few hours to go. And already, messages, calls, and congratulatory wishes were pouring in from every direction—friends, family, business associates, and people who admired their love story from afar. Their union was not just a marriage; it was a legend to many. Yet, in the middle of all the excitement, Isla sat far away from celebration. She was seated at the head of a long polished table inside one of Aurelia Crest City’s executive boardrooms. Around her sat powerful businessmen from different parts of the world—investors, partners, and representatives—each with their own opinions, expectations, and concerns. The meeting had dragged on far longer than expected. The discussion revolved around the new policies recently introduced by Aurelia Crest City, policies that was designed to protect the city’s future while maintaining its luxury and exclusivity. Unfortunately, not everyone around the tabl

“Grandma! Grandma!” Elara ran toward Diana the moment she climbed down from the van. Diana laughed loudly, her face lighting up with excitement. She hadn’t been expecting them at all. There was no call, no message, no notice of their visit. Elara wrapped her small arms tightly around Diana’s waist, resting her head against her stomach like a child will do, enjoying the comfort that came with it. This is her favourite grandma. One by one, the rest of the family stepped out of the van. Gabriel walked up to Charles and shook his hand. They exchanged warm greetings, speaking briefly as men often did. Sabastian greeted Charles next, he was polite and cheerful. After him, Aurelian stepped forward and shook Charles’s hand respectfully. Isla hugged her father tightly before greeting him. Elara, however, refused to let go of Diana. The little girl loves her grandma so much. Still, Aurelian found a way to greet her. He stepped closer and allowed Diana to hug him as well. D

Gabriel and his family arrived at Isla’s favorite place just as the afternoon sun softened over the coast of Tropicana Cuisine. The name alone was enough to put a smile on Isla’s face.It was an upscale restaurant perched near the water, famous for serving the finest seafood on the island. The scent of salt, citrus, and sizzling butter bloomed in the air, blending seamlessly with the distant sound of waves. Gabriel knew this place well, not because it was fashionable or exclusive, but because Isla loved it and for Gabriel, that was reason enough.Bringing his family here wasn’t merely about indulging in good food. It was about his wife. It had something to do with watching the tension melt from her shoulders, seeing her eyes light up the moment she realized where they were. Gabriel would do anything to keep Isla smiling. He had many plans lined up for the week ahead, carefully thought out, properly timed, but he hadn’t shared them yet. Not even with Isla. For now, this moment was e
