"So, how have you been Lauren?" I asked my middle school best friend with a smile.

"I have been good, you know. Just there." She replied and sipped from her coffee.

"Ah! This is refreshing. Just the way I want it." She breathed out with a smile after sipping the coffee.

"I heard they make good coffee and I decided we should have one here too." I told her. I took a sip from mine and nodded my head, as if approving the taste.

"That was thoughtful of you." She smiled at me.

"What about you? How have you been? How is marriage life treating you? How did you meet your husband too?" Lauren asked in a rush.

"Calm down Lauren, slow down on the questions, will you?" I laughed.

"I'm sorry. I felt very excited, that's all." She chuckled.

"I know you are dying to ask many questions as it has been years we last saw each other," I said. She nodded her head in agreement. "You are right." She replied.
