Selene's eyes flickered open. And settled on the glowing light from the lamp. At the other end of the room.

She felt the gentle touch of air that caressed her skin.

“She’s awake!” Lira exclaimed with delight. Lance immediately turned from where he had been standing near a boiling kettle at the far end of the room.

He hurried over to her side without any delay. For the very first time, Selene saw him genuinely smile at her as his blue eyes glistened with relief.

Standing close to the bed, he smiled warmly. “I'm glad you made it. I was beginning to fear that the worst must have happened. The Moon Goddess appears to still have plans for you, though.”

Selene felt heavy as she attempted to sit up. Her head ached dully, and she was breathing sharply and quickly.

As she reclined, the plush fur blanket began to slide down to her waist. Lira moved swiftly, helping her rest against the headboard.

Selene took another look at Lance, perplexed by the warmth in his face. He had always given off

When Alpha Rylan rode into the pack centre that afternoon, the sun was high in the sky and bathed the land in long golden rays. A few nearby villagers took notice when his horse’s hooves clattered on the stone walkway. Immediately after he dismounted, a young boy approached him, firmly grasped the reins, and bowed respectfully to Rylan. Rylan gave the boy a quick nod and said, “ Thank you.” Before making his way to the council hall. Unlike most of the time, he was late for the meeting. He never wasted time. He was always the first to arrive and was a disciplined man. But today did not go according to plan. Tristan had kept him waiting and the unexpected appearance of the wounded wolf in the pack had also caused him to be late. He had lost valuable time because of the delay. For a moment he thought about the wounded wolf again. Although the wolf’s wounds had been treated, they would take time to heal because he had barely survived the attack. He had to know who had attacked the w

In a large plush chair, Selene sat. It was a dark wood chair with a plush green cushion. It was pleasant to sit there. She was holding an ancient book. The pages of the thick book felt rough to the touch. It was a law book. This book contained a lot of regulations. The words were difficult for Selene to read. She was curious about the operations of the wolf pack. She was curious about all the guidelines that kept them secure and resilient. It was peaceful in the study room. The room was filled with tall bookcases. They were crammed with books. Some books were large while others were small. Some had vibrant covers, while others had faded, ancient-looking covers. The study's air had the scent of fresh wood and old paper. A small amount of sunlight entered through the tall window. On the wooden floor, it formed a small square. Tiny dust particles danced in the air. She couldn't help but feel a deep sense of satisfaction with the event of the previous night. The ritual was successfu

The smell of fresh soap and fresh bandages filled the clinic's air leaving it sharp and clean. It was a scent designed to create a sense of security and cleanliness. However, the room still had a subtle earthy smell despite all of that cleanliness. Instead of coming from a bright, quiet room, it was the rich, untamed scent of a wolf. The man now lying on a very white bed was the source of this odor. This man was a powerful creature, a large powerful wolf only a short time ago. He had changed to his human form. Due to this change, he was vulnerable and feeble. His skin was shiny from perspiration and extremely pale, almost white. He tried to rest but his arms and legs trembled a little. His mouth made a low, quiet sound of pain, indicating how much he was in pain. A tight agonized expression that persisted was etched on his forehead and his eyes were squeezed shut. The room seemed to be spinning around him and he felt extremely lightheaded. The difficult transition from wolf to h

For a moment Rylan stood motionless like a statue carved out of rage. He had his hands clenched into such tight balls that his knuckles appeared white. Normally warm and golden, his eyes now glowed with a fierce, intense light akin to two tiny fires. He was furious beyond belief. Then he took slow steps towards Tristan. Tristan, who sensed the danger in each step, began to move back in fear.He felt the need to run away but he couldn't. It seemed as though he was held back against his will.Rylan was well-known to Tristan. He knew that he should leave Rylan alone when he became this angry. His heart pounded in his chest as he retreated a little then another. He was afraid of what Rylan would do. “You know what I can't stand?” Rylan said in a low voice that sounded like a large animal growling. The air felt heavy and dense because of it. “N..No,” he stammered.Like a bird searching for a way out of a cage, Tristan's eyes moved. He glanced to his left, right, and finally to his end.

  • THE FORSAKEN LUNA; Moonfire Reborn   Chapter 119; An Attack In The Woods

The air was sharp and cold. That morning, deep in the woods, which were located outside Ridgewood's pack. Ethan and the elite squad were keeping watch over the pack as instructed by Luna Ravena. Each of the warriors was positioned in strategic parts of the forest. They blended so well with the green leaves and tall grasses. Making it hard for them to be detected. He knows every nook and cranny in the woods like the back of his hand. He remembered vividly how he had always accompanied Ravena to hunt in the deep wild of the woods.Too bad all of that was in the past. She now sees him as a pest that should be gotten rid of.
