Bethar let out a low agonizing groan from deep within his chest.

He was dragged out of the stream. And the assassin shoved him hard. He almost fell to the ground but he regained his footing in time. As he breathed hard.

Dragged like a petty thief, he was pushed forward, close to a tree.

His eyes widened in panic as the assassin brought out a rope.

Will he be strangled to death? Blood drained from his wrinkled face.

To his shock, he was forced to the tree. Standing behind the tree, the assassin twisted his hand backward and tied his wrist behind the tree.

He tried to wriggle free but it only made the pain worse. He winced. The ropes sliced into his flesh because they were too tight.

Blood was mixed with dirt as it trickled down his hands. His face was blood-smeared and swollen. One eye was nearly closed due to swelling.

His nose was a little crooked from what appeared to be a severe blow and his lips were puffy and cracked.

Dried blood trickled down his neck and stuck to his beard.
