SERENA’S POV

Everyone rushed to her after that, "Lady Beckett!"

Staff running all over the place, glass of water, milk, everything brought over to help. Help her breathe, cause she couldn't. Not with the shock of everything she’s been forced to take in. Not with the news of the divorce.

I held her hands, staying with her as we moved her to one of the couches in the living room. The devastation evident in her warm eyes even as she struggled to breathe. Her chest rising up and down, hyperventilating. "R-rena."

“Rena…” she kept calling, forcing her herself to make the words that wouldn’t just form. And it broke me beyond anything. Hurting from deep inside. “Space,” I breathed, looking around. “Give her space, everyone. A little space please!”

They adjusted, worried murmurs as we watched her slowly calm down. Tears, big drops rolling down her eyes. Her head constantly shaking, any thought to wipe it all off from memory. That it all wasn’t real. Wasn’t real at all.
