SERENA'S POV

"E-Eliot?"

He stared at me, features dark. Surprised but not so surprised. "So this is where you've been?"

What?

"All this time... This is where you've stayed? In this house, with my mom... and I searched everywhere for you."

Oh, he was referring to me staying here after leaving the house. But how did he know to come here right now?

"Serena," he stepped closer. "Let's talk. We need to talk, I need to explain and-

"No." I breathed, halting his steps. "No talking. I don't want to talk. Goodbye." I pushed the door close then. Aiming to shut him out, same way I'd opened up to him. Then I'd head back upstairs like nothing happened. Like he didn't show up out of the blue after what just happened to me on my bed.

But that didn't work.

Just before the door jammed shut, his foot stopped it. Gray eyes quick to understand what I had in mind without me speaking at all. "Serena, you-

I pushed on the door then, not letting him speak. Pressing my body against it, putting pressure. Him

  • THE GLASS WIFE; the storm he built himself    Chapter 161

SERENA'S POV "Please do come again next time, Sir." The maître d’ said with a polite smile to Axel, handing over the freebies he received. Cause apparently, he'd made today's reservation about 2 months ago. Meaning he'd planned this for a long time. That should make me excited or feel good at least, right? But it didn't. How could it? When a certain somebody had abandoned the reason for him being present in this restaurant, instead, focusing all his attention on us. Me and Axel. Practically burning holes into the side of my face from how hard he was glaring. He didn't even bother to hide it. Didn't move from his spot either. Wonder how long he'd been there before I spotted him. But he did look good though. Really good with his hands tucked into his pockets, a phone in hand as he stood in the glass valet call stand, like he owned the entire place. His stare burned hot against my skin, impossible to ignore and making all the more uncomfortable as I stood still. My fingers

SERENA'S POV "I could be. You don't know that.""Oh hell I do." I smirked, "I most definitely do. No mistakes about that Blondie."His breath hitched, offended but amused. "Blondie? Why do you keep calling me? Where did that come from?""I've always called you that. You're just noticing?""I am,""Then you better go purchase that ear cleaning device your assistant recommended to you."He laughed, hard. Not expecting my words, his head tilting back, blue eyes twinkling."You're teasing me now? You're joining them to 'drag' my ears?"I shrugged, trying not to laugh but failing. "You're the one who complained about not hearing properly. This now proofs it, so... Yeah.""What?" He leaned forward, hands reaching for me. Wanting to pinch at my skin like he usually did, but I only leaned backwards. Escaping him, our laughter filling the air. "You're

SERENA'S POV Who the hell was this blogger and why was he tagging me?!He/she is the cause of this mess! I already got dragged once on my main account, do I also have to get dragged on my anonymous account too??"I need to arrest this blogger," I spat, already tapping on the message option, straight to his/her DM. "I need to address this before it gets out of hand."How could someone just come out of nowhere and drag me into some crazy mess? He/she wanted to use to trend? To grow his/her account??I started mine without dragging or using anybody, so why all these now?Why try to take advantage of my content to grow your page, cause there was no way in hell all of these was real!It wasn't. In fact, it was beyond impossible!Eliot? He would come online and...No way.No fucking way. Not in this lifetime. He would never do something like this.'He did comment under your post with a fake account' my mind reminded me. Bringing back memories of that study. The papers, my blog prints sca

SERENA'S POV "It's hard to admit but too many things scare me.Not having a plan.Losing control,Not knowing what to expect...You.You scare me, losing you scares me.You said I never noticed the meals. The ones you made after spending hours practicing and sleeping off on tutorial videos online...But I did.I noticed them all. Every damn time. The labels. Sticky notes with the ridiculous shaped heart you always drew on the side.White was for Mondays, Blue for Tuesday, Brown for Wednesday, Pink and purple for Thursday and Friday. You'd leave them on the counter like you weren't waiting for me to say something. And I'd stare at them like an idiot, wondering why a plate of food scared me.At the end I'd leave without them. But not once did I have a moment of peace after. Not once did I not think of your face seeing them where you'd left them. After work, I made sure to eat them at night. You'd be sleeping upstairs but I'd be eating them all after microwaving. I don't know why I d

  • THE GLASS WIFE; the storm he built himself    Chapter 156

SERENA'S POV I didn’t text him back after that.I didn’t call.Didn’t even check the window at nighttime to see if his stupid car was parked outside like the last time. Two days passed. Two full days. But I concentrated on work. Focused on what was important, I had an entire structure on going with my brand. That was far more important. Nothing else could compare. I had control. I was in control of my own body, mind, sex doesn't lead me. I lead sex. However good it might seem.Besides sometimes space was good, for the mind and body. But still, gradually, every hour that passed without a message…without a “I’m outside”…Without him showing up....It grew on my skin. Getting underneath it, staying there and just itching me as days rolled by. Worst part?I'd become so overly aware of it. Of my body, the way it reacted, how I reacted. I hated how aware I’d become.I’ll be sketching and suddenly remember how he grabbed my waist. Lifting me off the floor and pressing his mouth lips to m
