Kathryn's POV

After ignoring Kevin for days, Melissa finally told me to forgive him. He was looking skinny and unkempt and I reasoned with her that if I didn't forgive him, things might get complicated and I won't be able to handle the outcome.

I went outside and opened the gate to see him still seated on the floor. This time, he didn't have the strength to stand up so he just sat there and stared at me helplessly.

The way he looked lifeless almost made me cry. Did I really make him this way? I hurriedly called on my staffs to take him in and attend to him which was done in about an hour.

He was placed on bed rest for a few hours before I finally went in to meet him. I wonder how I'll be able to face him after what I've done though.

I sat slowly on the chair that was by the bed and bowed my head in embarrassment. He must be staring at me right?
