SONG OF THE CHAPTER:

RHEA’S POV:

The ruins of the palace are still humming when I leave them behind.

Morning crawls through the fog like it’s forgotten how to start. I decide to walk instead of flying. The dragon in me still simmers, quiet now, but awake. For the first time in days, I don’t feel like a ghost in my own body. I feel like fire with a heartbeat.

The path I take back toward the court is overgrown, and the wildlands seem to be holding their breathe with me. Stones shift as I pass.

Old sigils blink open under moss, reacting to my presence. A fox with two tails watches me from a branch, its eyes like mirrors. I don’t look away... not anymore.

I have questions and only one creature I know has answers.

The Dremari is waiting, as if he knows that I would have to come back to him.

I don’t call it forward. It steps from the shadow of a broken arch as though time curved around to meet it. Its form shifts... sometimes it is woman, sometimes beast, sometimes a

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!SONG OF THE CHAPTER: TRANSFORM BY DANIEL CAESAR.RHEA'S POV: I've practically been on edge since I got the news of Lucien's condition. Since the time he opened his eyes, they said he has not done so again. I need to find a solution today so I'm heading to the Temple with Dremari. I managed to also drag Rowan along. Dremari pisses me off sometimes and I need someone to stand in as some kind of buffer. The Wildlands are quieter today, way too quiet. The sky hangs low, thick with violet mist, and even the wind tiptoes across the overgrown path that leads deeper into the old vale. The Dremari moves beside me like a living shadow, its form never quite fixed as usual. Sometimes wolf, sometimes bird and sometimes a blur of starlight. Rowan follows a few paces behind, his silence heavier than the weapons strapped across his back. I don’t speak. I can’t. My breath catches in my chest every time I glance toward the horizon, where the sun looks like it is blee

AUTHOR'S NOTE: SO SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE! TODAY IS ALSO MY BIRTHDAY GUYSS!! ENJOY!SONG OF THE CHAPTER: NEU ROSES BY DANIEL CAESAR.RHEA'S POV: I don’t hear the court bells when they ring but I’m already awake and already staring out at the veil of morning mist that clings to the Fae Court like a canopy. My chamber feels too quiet, the silence kinda heavy. I miss Kaia. There is a tremble beneath my skin that I can’t explain, like my soul is getting ready for something that hasn’t happened yet but already knows it will. Then I hear an urgent and sharp knock on the door. I turn before the door opens. One of the elder Fae strides in, robes swirling like storm clouds. “Something is happening,” she says without pleasantries. “Come with me.” The skies above the Fae Court are the color of ash as we step outside. Not rain-cloud grey or a stormy look but ash. Like something sacred has burned and no one remembered to mourn it. My boots scrape against the marble bridge as

SONG OF THE CHAPTER: RESIDUALS BY CHRIS BROWN.RHEA'S POV: The sky is looking like it's about to turn red by the time I return to the court. I ride hard, the stolen horse trembling beneath me, foam at its mouth. I should probably feed it when I get back... If I'm still alive. My cloak is torn, eyes raw from the wind, but I don’t stop. Not even when the trees thin and the white marble of the palace glimmers through the smoke.Because the palace is burning. Damn! The fuck is this mehn... I see it before I feel it... the way the magic warps the air. Screams echo between the towers. The moon is high and distant, watching as if helpless. And I... I basically throw myself off the saddle before the gates are even fully in view. The Fae Court is under attack.Night-beasts. They slither from fractured seams in the air like ink spilled across silk; black, formless, ancient. One pounces toward the eastern wing, the one housing the younger seers. I hear their cries. "Move!" I sc

  • THE LOST WEREWOLF PRINCESS: MATED TO THE RIVALS   Chapter 97

RHEA’S POV:I’m still breathing like someone held my damn neck. My limbs ache from the ride, every bone humming with exhaustion, but I keep moving. I'm have tied the horse to one of the trees. I allow myself to enjoy the silence of the wildlands, the cool breath of night on my face and the promise that something out here will make sense of the wreck I’ve become. The ruins breathe. Okay, that sounds dramatic as fuck but that's literally the only way I can describe it. Like the stone itself has lungs and memory, and now it’s slowly waking up. The sigil beneath my feet glows faintly like blue-gold. It hums in time with the pulse in my wrist, the one that’s been erratic since I entered these wildlands. It’s not just the vow mark burning anymore. Something older is showing up. I crouch, brushing away leaves and dirt to see the full symbol. Twisting rings, teeth of flame, a center eye. The language isn’t fae. It isn’t werewolf either. It’s something forgotten. As I touch the e

SONG OF THE CHAPTER: HOLD ON BY BEYONCERHEA'S POV: I shut the door before the court healers can follow me.My chamber which is located in the east wing is quiet, tucked between an abandoned library and a shrine no one visits anymore. I used to love that library. I wonder if anyone still uses it... I doubt that witch of a cousin would though. The only hobby she has is painting her ugly ass nails. My room smells of dust and dried herbs, old smoke clinging to the walls like forgotten prayers. I like it that way. Silence doesn’t ask questions. I lean against the door, heart hammering. The mark on my palm hasn’t stopped burning since last night. It glows faintly even through the cloth I’ve wrapped around it, like the magic is clawing to escape. I press it against my chest, trying to muffle the pain.No one must see this. They must not see the swelling beneath my ribs, the bruises blooming like warflowers across my spine and most definitely, not the way my breath skips sometime
