MYXY’S POV

When I awoke, I saw Aunt Pnoena’s face looking at me. I sat down, looked around, frowned at the book I was holding, and then turned to face Aunt Pnoena. She didn’t say anything until she took the water from the side table and made me drink it, and when I did, I felt like I hadn’t drunk in days.

“What happened?” I wondered.

“How are you feeling?” Aunt Pnoena asked, then I took a deep breath.

“I’m fine. Is Jillian there?”

“She’s not here,” Aunt answered, then I opened the book and saw what happened to us there.

I put it down, then held my head and looked at Haiden, who had just arrived, and he immediately approached me, then hugged me. “It’s good that you’re awake,” he said, and I knew the concern in his voice.

“I’m sorry if I make you worried,” I said, and he smiled at me.

“You don’t need to apologize. I should be the one to apologize to you.”
