PAIN

Mia’s POV

There were certain pains indescribable and fucking foolish!

I didn’t know what felt worse, being scared physically or emotionally.

That stranger after sleeping with me left me with a half-ass "Thank you" note and the Alpha after rejecting me got angry that I spent the night outside.

"Hey you stupid girl," I heard someone calling out from behind me. I was used to people calling me that, but I no longer found it offensive.

"What?" I snapped angrily because I was already at my limit for bullshit today.

"Mrs. Caroline is looking for you," the slender maid said with a smirk on her face and I rolled my eyes.

What the hell does she want again? I had done all the extra tasks that were assigned to me today and I just needed a break. A break from all this chaos.

I stormed to the kitchen where I knew I would find her but what I didn't expect to find was a small crowd of maids gathered and Alpha Leo and his Beta. This already had the aura of chaos and I wasn't liking all the glaring eyes on me.

As soon as I reached Mrs. Caroline, she extended her hands, stretching them forth to my face and landing me a hot, resounding slap.

This bitch!

I could see a smirk coming from the Alpha's face.

"You thief, where is the necklace?" Mrs. Caroline asked and I was confused because I had no idea of what she was talking about. What Necklace? And why is she calling me a thief?

" I am not sure I understand what you are talking about," I tried to keep my voice polite and stop it from expressing all the anger and negative emotions that were stacking up within me.

"Don't you dare lie, you stupid girl, you took the heritage necklace that belongs to the pack Luna,"

What now?

I had no freaking idea what she was talking about, the Alpha stepped forward and pulled me roughly to him, and I grappled in pain.

"First you, went out to sell yourself cheaply to random men, now you dare come here and pretend like you don't know what she is talking about," he said with a hostile tone.

I tried to wiggle my way out of his firm grip but he held on tighter to me. "I have no idea what she is talking about, I am no thief, Alpha Leo,"

He yanked me but my fist and his fingers pressed painfully on my cheeks, "Wipe my name out of your mouth you whore,"

He pushed me to the floor and my back felt the impact the most but I struggled to get back to my feet but I could only kneel before him.

"I fucking hate when girls like you feel entitled to certain privileges because you discovered you were my mate and I rejected you, you went to steal an ancient necklace worn by all the Lunas, because you think you are one of them"

"I didn't steal any necklace," I blurted out and he glared at me. Murmurs were coming from the room. I expected him to slap me or kick me, instead, he came close to me.

"Let's say, I believe you, how do I know that you are telling the truth? " he asked and I looked around. How do I prove I didn't steal a necklace I had no idea of how it even looked like.

"You can go through my things, if I had stolen it, you would know," I know it sounded stupid because no thief would keep their stolen item in some obvious place but the moon goddess was on my side today.

"Okay then, let us search your things," Alpha Leo declared and I sighed in relief.

I trailed after them as some sentinel ransacked my room looking for the necklace and to my greatest surprise. I heard one of the sentinels yell.

"I have found it '' holding up an emerald necklace and everything within me went still. Everyone gasps and whispers words like.

She is a thief.

I knew she had stolen it.

I knew I was being framed at that moment and everything had been orchestrated right from the start, I was just playing right into their dirty game.

I didn't even try to defend myself, because nothing I would say at that moment would make a difference.

"You dirty little liar and thief, you would pay dearly for this," Alpha Leo said spitefully, and out of the sentinel came and dragged me into the courtyard.

At this point, I could only expect the worst.

"Do you have any defense to the charges and the evidence laid against you?" Alpha Leo asked and was trying to take the moral high ground and not say a word but I decided to speak out for myself.

I knew I wouldn't make much difference but I would still do it.

"I didn't steal the necklace, I have no idea how it got to my room, I have been working all day and had barely stepped into my room when I was called and falsely accused of theft. The moon goddess is my witness," I muttered and for a moment there was dead silence in the courtroom.

"Of course she is, she must have witnessed how you stole the necklace," Alpha Leo said and there was an uproar of laughter from the courtroom.

"Mia Lee for the crime of theft, you would be stripped and flogged twenty lashes,"

My heart shreds into a thousand little pieces. This wasn't what I was expecting and in a last attempt to reach out to the heart of Alpha Leo if he had one, I ran to Alpha Leo's feet and began begging him.

"Please Alpha, please don't, I will do anything,"

"You are offering yourself to me again, you little whore, is that all you know, to keep with people to get away from taking responsibility for your actions,"

"I didn't do it Alpha Tristain, you have to believe me," I begged.

"I don't,"

The sentinel pulled me away from the feet of the Alpha and all I could remember was just sheer pain and humiliation.

I had already cried myself to sleep and I was trying to tend to my wounded back, it was proving abortive and I shoved the bucket of ice aside and yelled out In pain.

Fuck!

Fuck!

Fuck them all!

I hate all of them and right now I wish nothing but the worst for them.

I knew what I was going to do, I couldn't afford to stay here any longer, I was going to run away even if it meant me stealing.
