Chapter IX

Keith left his small house early in the morning to head downtown. He wore a hat that covered most of his face to not be recognised by the palace guards. He didn't understand why the king was looking for him. He didn't recall doing something that might upset the crown, apart from the illegal sword shows he used to do with his best friend.

Carolyn has been helping him by asking at the village if someone knew why they were searching for him, but no one seemed to have an idea. It has been already been one month since her brother's disappearance, and she was worried that something bad might have happened to him. She didn't know anyone she could ask to know if he was alright, or if he was still alive. Thankfully, Keith was there to bring them some food, as Alec was used to be the one who took care of them. His absence affected his family a lot, especially little Jared, who was missing his older brother a lot.
