Chapter 6

Seth's POV

I know that it's a lot for her to leave everything behind and follow me but she doesn't have a choice. This is a dangerous territory and the more time she stays here the more harm her enemies would incur on her and her innocent son.

It baffles me that he looks just like my late mother but she doesn't know and I don't intend to tell her.

“I would ask you a question and I want an answer immediately. Don't fucking test my patience. I'll pull this trigger once you lie to me.” I wanted confirmation that he was her child and not a nanny to the young lad she was carrying on her shoulders.

“What is this all about?” She asked, turning her eyes around.

“Is he your son?” I asked her, but she hesitated to answer. Three rounds left in my gun, I shot one in the hair and pointed next to her forehead.

“Fine, he's my son. His name is Alexander. Does it settle your curiosity?” I didn't respond to her question, I opened the door for her to get in.

She dropped her son in the backseat and got to sit beside me. I knew she wanted her son to have all the comfort he could get.

“I don't think this is the right idea. That bar has been my source of peace and happiness. What am I without that bar? Who's going to run it like I do while I'm away?” She complained bitterly, it was evident through the tone of her voice.

“You have workers I guess.”

“Workers indeed. What if those men come looking for me and I'm not there? They could kill everyone in the bar.” Roselle lamented, running her hands through her hair.

“Yeah you're right, but a few of them dying isn't going to change the fact that you're an enemy to them, trust me they're hunting you.” I tried to make her calm since my son is

“It should be the other way around.”

“When you challenge someone in his territory, you've carved your name in their mind never to be forgotten.” I made it clear to her because she had to know. Staying back would mean war and that we don't have the time and weaponry for.

“I challenged no one, they came at me. Do you expect me to be defenseless or watch them take what's mine?” Roselle was bold, I liked that about her. She wasn't scared of anyone, she knew her way around a man's tool. Guns are meant for men, while knives are meant for women but I'm certain she's skilled at both.

“They would have taken your son and made you an epitome of mockery. You should be glad I saved you.” I chuckled softly keeping my eyes glued to the road, although I was stealing glances at her.

“I'm doing this for the sake of peace and I hate being forced.” She had her life placed in my palms, I'm a total stranger to her but I saved her from those men. No matter how skilled she is, once one of them gets a hold of her son, she's vulnerable and unable to do anything.

“Your son's asleep. Quit nagging, we're going to get to Italy and all this would be an aftermath.”

“I don't think there's an aftermath close. There's a roadblock ahead.” She mentioned, I knew following another route might get these bikers to start chasing us and I have just two bullets.

“Do you have an idea who they are?”

“Local bike gangs, just like the ones we met at the bar. They're just five men and how many bullets do you have left?” She ended her response with a question I didn't want to answer.

“I have two bullets.”

“You're going without your gun and if you can't talk to them, use a man as a shield against those bullets and don't forget to use your fists.” I wondered why she was speaking to me as if I was a child, she turned to her son who was still asleep.

Who wouldn't want to see his mother and father killing their enemies? I couldn't shake off the smile on my face knowing that she wanted to fight beside me.

I halted close to the roadblock, I got out of the car and went ahead to meet them.

I was shocked at the crocodile sign on their bikes, she was right about them being a local gang. But they were known for highway extortion of foreigners and I'm not familiar with them so I'm definitely a target for them.

“Who are you and where are you headed?” He asked, His brown hair locks looked amusing to me.

“I'm going out of town with my family.” I was bold at first but I just wanted to act normal.

“Why what's wrong with the city? Isn't it conducive enough for your wife and your son?” His voice felt fake.

“It is but we're in search of greener pastures.”

“That means you have a lot of money searching for greener pastures.” He had his hand on his gun tucked below his belt, staring at how tight the belt was; it would take roughly three seconds for him to get his gun out. It's enough time for me to kill one of them and use him as a shield but I'm not with my gun.

“I don't have a lot of money. This ride is a rented one and I'm returning it to the owner.”

“We can offer you one of our bikes in exchange for your lives and the car. It's a fair deal, what do you say boys?” I realized that the one speaking seemed a lot like their leader, he was the only one conversing with me at that moment.

“I don't think that's a right deal.”

“What's going on honey?” Roselle strolled out of the car, staring at her. I was stunned, she had her shirt unbuttoned exposing her cleavage.

They lost focus on what they were doing, the leader had his hand removed from his gun, I heard two gunshots while I punched the leader closest to me. I pulled out his gun as he fell to the ground, shot his other two colleagues in seconds and had his gun pointed to his forehead.

“Do you know what you've just done?”

“You shouldn't have bargained for the car, it's not worth it when a child is sleeping in the backseat. I can't let you disturb him.” I chuckled softly as I shot his head, I can't let one return back to his people and tell them what happened.

“Take their guns and go back to the car, I'll round up the bodies and their bikes.” I ordered, Roselle obeyed. She didn't ask questions.

She sat in the car and watched how I rounded up five dead bodies and their bikes and tossed a lighter to it.

We drove past the scene, the sound of the explosion made Roselle shudder but Alexander was still asleep.

“Why did you do that?” She should know that leaving bodies is a bad omen because prints can be found and it can lead them straight to us.

“No fingerprints, no trace, nothing that'll lead them to us. I don't think he's the leader so when the leader knows this, we will be long gone.” I looked over my finger and realized that one of my rings was missing.

I hope it melts in the fire… or there's definitely going to be a war which I'm not ready for.

Chapter 9Seth's POV I watched her return back to the arms of her son. She went to the room to check on him, she's jealous that I'm bonding with him and filling her head with thoughts that I would take her son from her but in the real world I'm just trying to get along with a boy that looks like my mother. While still in my thoughts my friend interrupted me holding a bottle of an ancient wine I knew he must have stolen from another liquor store. “Hey Seth, what's getting you worked up? I mean you have them both in your house so it's your father that'll come see the results at his convenient time.” Carlos clicked his tongue. Carlos Gonzalez is a man with a lot of talents which was why I bonded with him as a friend and we've been having each other's backs for a long while. Whenever he gets caught, I'm the only one he calls for help and he waits no matter how long until I'm with him. “You stole this right?” I asked, “I borrowed it. Besides, it's just sitting there and no one wants

Chapter 8Darcy's POV When we arrived at Italy, the airport wasn't crowded and when we got out onto the road, we had six bikers parked around a lemon green parked Ferrari. “Welcome home Boss.” They called him boss, he was addressed like someone who was the leader. “Let's hitch a ride, boss.” He chuckled as we're ushered into the car, he sat close to me and in that moment I was drowning in his perfume and I liked it to an extent. When we arrived at the house, I couldn't stop looking at the fountain. Alexander has his eyes all over the place, I watched how he held Seth's hand and walked with him like they've known each other for a long while. “He's just a friend so treat him right.” I remembered the words I said to him inside the plane and ever since he's been speaking to Seth and honestly when I woke up from my little nap and found them talking, I wondered what Alexander must have told him about me. “You do know that he's my son and not yours?”“Yeah I know that, are you thinking

So he found the ring after checking for any valuable items on them. “Who has the guts to do that?” He kept the cup on the table, staring at the young lady whose back was used as a stool to keep his jar of wine and cup. “We could only find this from the fire. I guess this was used to trade because this is real silver.” He was stopped by The Gang's Coroner.“I don't think it was used as a means to trade because his blood samples were found on the ring which means whoever did this used his fist to punch him and there it fell off.” He spelt it out wearing a smile on his face. “So are you saying I don't…”“You don't know what you're doing because you don't know dead bodies as much as I do.” He growled, staring intently at the boss. CHAPTER FIVE: Seth's Pov Her eyes widened for the third time now as she heard me call her fake name, her pretty red lips parted in shock then shut again. "If I find out you are lying to me, I will kill you" She threatened and walked away. I smirked watching her talk to her employees, probably telling them to evacuate the bar. She hasn't changed a bit. That pretty copper hair tied up in a ponytail, her curvy body still exquisite as I remembered. She doesn't remember me though, not that I expected her to, it would complicate things for me. I was supposed to take her a few weeks ago, after stalking her in the shadows for a month now I found myself changing the plan. I didn't want to rush things, I wanted her to follow me willingly and I'm thankful I finally got what I wanted. Father would be pleased. But there is one problem though, she has a son. When did that happen? Was that why she ran away? My jaw clenched as I imagined her with another man. The thou

CHAPTER FOUR: Darcy's Pov The wind whispers in my ear and cold chills spread all over me, a masculine scent clouded my senses with my face pressed on a hard but smooth surface, the scent of leather and spring yes... I felt safe, which was weird because the last time I remembered I was kidnapped. I jerked as I woke up and I gasped. I was on top of a bike, my hand wrapped around the biker I had seen in the parking lot. "What's going on?" I asked looking back to see if we were followed, but I saw nothing. My senses were on alert as he took a turn toward my house. "Who are you? And why did you help me?" I asked but nothing. He didn't reply me. I let go of him slightly brushing my hand on his thighs and he went still as stone. "I don't know who you are but I appreciate your help, you can drop me here" I requested before he gets to my house. To my surprise he stopped and parked at the side of the road, I dismounted from the bike and looked at him. The helm
