CHAPTER 2-Meeting Nikola

After the chaos at the dinning room, Everybody got up and left but not without patting my head as they walked by, making me smile slight.

My head was a mess by the time they had all finished patting my head. I smiled and tried fixing my hair, They still treat me like a child.

"Your brothers adore you,"My mama spoke up staring at the food on her plate with regret."

Aaron couldn't even look at me, He was so disgusted at me , My mother mumbled as fear ran down her face, "mama, it's not your fault " I reassured her as I washed my plate at the sink.

He told me just before he told you, I was so angry but it was out of my power I just hope you understand, my mom walked to me.

She brushed my hair out of my face," I love you, my baby "She grabbed my face gently, planting a kiss on my forehead, I love you too mama I responded with a soft tone.

" But I don't want to go" I finally admitted as she held me close, " What about my education ,I love going to college, I panicked as I stared worriedly at her. "You will still go to school that is if Nikola allows you, I am sorry that I can't do anything for you, She said shame showing all over her face.

Nikola had a cruel and merciless reputation that has not been broken to this day.

Although I haven't heard anything in particular about him, It's like everyone in the Mafia knows who he is but is still mysterious in a sense.

Exactly a week had passed, Today is the day,I will be officially be introduced to Nikola.

I'm supposedly going to meet him at a party where all women dress up hoping to catch the attention of men, And I had to dress up dramatically to show off our money, not to mention that my father wants me to be the most attractive person in the room so that when Nikola sees me he will be mesmerized, His words not mine.

I had done my makeup and my mom had just finished my hair,"You look beautiful, my princess"

My mom said as she held my hands in hers, "Thank you mama", I replied with a smile before Aaron knocked on my door, He escorted me down to the front door as the limousine waited for us we got in and my father and the rest of my siblings joined us.

"I'm not happy about this!"

Aaron stated furiously to my father, letting his opinion of the situation be known. "Stop it!" my father hissed at him, You do not get to have a say in this, none of you do, my father spat viciously.

I could see his breath from the air being so cold then he said "Take that jacket off immediately we get to the party,am I understood?

"Yes father I replied, still in disbelief of why we are going to the party.

We finally got to the event and we came down from the limousine, I interlinked my arm with that of Raul's as we walked into the ball, I shivered in the massive hall due to the dropping temperature.

My father started with his instructions, "Don't speak unless spoken to or else am going to teach you a lesson, He hissed into my ear, so that no one will hear, making shivers run down my spine.

I saw a lot of people standing around and some staring at me, Don't they know it's rude to stare?, Sadly it's one of the many downsides to being a part of the Mafia world, if there are able they will watch you.

"Everyone always watches us", I muttered under my breath to Aaron as we stared at the crowd of people,"well they stare at you because you are both powerful and beautiful,like a rose".

Aaron said to me with a soft smile."I am sorry that I can't stop this arranged marriage,I wanted you to find love on your own.

"Maybe it won't be so bad".I shrugged trying to look on the bright side when suddenly everyone's attention was drawn to the door and the room became silent.

"It's Nikola "

"Nikola Hernando"

"I've heard he's ruthless, merciless", He shows no remorse for anything he does.

So many whispers were flying around the room, I watched a few guards come in and there he was "Nikola Hernando", The man I was arranged to marry.

His footsteps echoed through the room, filling the crowds with immense fear, I had a bad feeling about him yet I couldn't help but watch his every move.

I finally got to see his face and he was very attractive,not a single flaw on his face but he had to go and ruin it by being so emotionless, I noticed the skull tattoo on the side of his neck.

It was the symbol of his Mafia but in way more detail.

His attractiveness was intimidating so I couldn't imagine how insecure the guys felt when he walked in.

Nikola slowly scanned the room, girls practically drooling over him as he glanced in their direction, but then he spotted me and started walking in my direction and he stood a few steps away from me.

He gazed at me without breaking eyes contact, He then looked me up and down before before my father started approaching us.

"Mr Hernando, It's nice to see you again", My father blurted out, reminding him that they had met before I had never witnessed my father so unprofessional; I could see him trying to hide his fear.

"Yes and you what is your name he asked me,I was slightly taken back," Marylin Diaz, I said.

Then my father hurriedly said to me, "This is Nikola Hernando", It seems like he was more proud of Nikola than any of his sons,which is not surprising to me.
