The beach party

Molly:

Farrell left early this morning without a word to me, and Paula informed me that it was about the incident that happened with the Dark whatever mafia group.

In the evening, I left the house in the company of Paula. We went back to the salon to redo my hair. I'm sure the lady at the salon was confused.

What Paula had said the previous night kept me awake, and even this morning I couldn't forget it. Who did I remind him of? Was it Maria? Was her hair that color? All these crossed my mind but there was really no one to give me the answers that I desired.

Paula received a phone call while we were there, and she grinned weirdly. As soon as my hair was dyed back to my chestnut brown hair, we left the salon.

I expected to get back home but suddenly we were on our way to someplace I had no clue about.

"Where are we going?" I asked, and she looked at me without saying a word.

"Paula?" I called out, and she blinked multiple times.

It was like she felt immune to Farrell's threats and war
