silence treatment

Molly:

It has been three days since my altercation with Farrell. He barely stayed at home, kept late nights, and returned after I had gone to bed. He walked off to the forbidden wing again two nights ago, and he said nothing to me the next day. I kind of liked it when he bothered me. His attitude was killing me, and it kept the house quiet and boring.

I spent the entire day alone with my books and food because I had no friends and my partner was a jerk. Reading smut books made me horny most of the time, and it reminded me of Farrell. I could not believe it at the time because I was thinking of a man who had only caused me pain.

I had just gotten out of the shower and was wiping my hair with a towel in one of Farrell’s robes when I noticed the contract on the vanity table near the bed. I approached it and stared at it, opening each page. The thought of signing it crossed my mind, and even though the loneliness was killing me, I tried to resist it.

“Stay strong,” I told myself, then sigh
