CHAPTER 4

“Guys, pinch me. Did the boss just order the release of someone who was tied to the pole of death?” Storm asked, still shocked by the whole event. They were all at the hospital since there was nothing else to do anyway.

“Man, I'm still surprised, like I was actually waiting for the boss to come kill her by himself”, Rhodes replied, shaking his head in disbelief.

“Who knows, maybe he's fallen for her?” Gael grinned.

All this while, Melissa kept staring intently at her face while holding her hand. She was beginning to lose patience. She felt her fingers moving.

“She's awake”, Melissa gasped happily, and they all gathered near her bed. 

Snow slowly opened her eyes, and her nose caught the smell of sterile gloves and drugs. She didn't need a soothsayer to tell her that she was in a hospital. She tried to sit up, and she felt warm and soothing hands helping her. The person also put a pillow behind her back, making her comfortable.

Melissa picked up a new pair of glasses that the clan's doctor recommended since Snow's own broke the day she fell. Melissa wore the glasses for her, and Snow blinked as her eyes adjusted to the translucent light in the room. She started looking at them one after the other, shifting back in fear.

“You shouldn't be afraid of us. Relax okay", Melissa assured her, and tried to take Snow's hand, but Snow moved back more scared than before, nodding her head negatively.

“No, you want to torture me again, but please, I'm sorry for whatever it is I did”. She sobbed in a tiny, cute trembling voice.

“We're not here to hurt you, okay? We just want to help,” Mykel said softly, his voice soothing. Snow's sobs were subdued as he gently held her hand and gave a light smile that disappeared immediately.

“Whoa, did Mykel just act nice towards someone?” Rhodes asked with wide eyes.

“And he even smiled,” Gael added.

“What an epic sight to behold,” Storm said dramatically.

“What's your name?” Tessa asked.

“Snow” she replied.

“That must be why you are so cute," Melissa said. “This is Mykel, Tessa, Rhodes, Gael, Storm, and I'm Melissa”.

Snow nodded, taking notes of their faces.

“Hi, baby girl. Just like she said, I'm Storm, but don't let me sweep you off your feet," Storm winked with his flirty gaze.

“Don't listen to him, he's never serious. Actually, he's still a kid, that's why” Rhodes said and Gael chuckled. Storm smacked his head.

“Oh, I forgot. There's another one of us, Camille. She's in a coma, but she's going to come around soon," Melissa said.

Snow smiled sadly, still waiting to hear the names of the two who tortured her, as she was sure they weren't there. She could still remember their blurred faces. 

“What of the girls who...” She paused. Melissa got to know the one she was about to ask.

“Oh, Viola and Gretna. They are bad news, just stay away from them". Melissa warned.

The door opened, and Sin walked in.

“Cutie is awake," Sin smiled at her.

“That's Sinclair. He's the second boss, but don't worry, he's nothing like our boss," Melissa explained.

“So, the mean one is the boss” Snow thought.

“How are you feeling?” Sin asked.

“Good," Snow mumbled. 

Sin nodded with a smile as he patted her head.

“I'm busy. I have to leave. You'll be fine, okay?” With that, he left.

“The doctor said you should eat. You haven't eaten since you came here. Open up," Melissa brought a spoon close to her mouth.

“Why are you being nice to me?" Snow asked that which had been on her mind, her voice filled with confusion and suspicion.

“Let's say as soon as I saw you, I liked you," Melissa replied with a smile.

Snow stared at the spoon before slowly eating from it. Tears escaped from her eyes, remembering how her mum used to feed her.

“Stop crying. "Everything's going to be okay" Melissa said as she kept on feeding her.

Snow felt someone's gaze on her, and she turned only to see Mykel staring at her. As soon as she saw him, he looked away.

“What are you going to do about the spy?” Sin asked.

“What else? Torture him to death," Aurelio replied.

“And Snow?"

Aurelio looked at him, wondering who Snow was.

“The new girl," Sin answered his unspoken question.

“It's obvious you don't plan on killing her, so what are you going to do with her? Are you going to release her?" Snow asked.

“Not until I figure out something, she's staying here," Aurelio replied. 

Sin stared at him, wondering what he meant by that.

Aurelio was on his way to the torture room when he caught a glimpse of Snow and Melissa. Melissa was showing her around. She had finally decided to accept her fate, though one could clearly see that she wasn't happy. She looked so small in Melissa's clothes that the clothes literally swallowed her. Aurelio tore his gaze from them and headed to the room.

“This is the training ground," Melissa said. Snow looked around and saw some people training. Her eyes caught Viola and Gretna, and her eyes widened when she saw they were coming towards them. She tried to leave, but Melissa held her hand.

 “Oh look, it's the crying b!tch," Viola mocked, and Gretna laughed.

“Why are you still putting on clothes? Not like we haven't seen everything. She doesn't even have boobs or ass, just a decimal point,” Gretna smirked.

“Look, just because the boss released you doesn't mean anything. You'll always be.....” A slap landed on her face from Melissa, shutting her up.

“Yes, it doesn't mean anything, but it's enough to know that he cares about her, something he'll never do for you. Anyway, keep dreaming. You'll surely get him in your dreams. Come on, baby girl, let's leave.” Melissa took her out, and Viola screamed madly.

“How dare she talk to me like that? I'm going to show her, and when I finally become the boss's woman, then I'll deal with both of them," She breathed out angrily and walked out, with Gretna following her.

Aurelio arrived at the torture room, and, as expected, he saw Trent sitting on the ground, untouched, just like he had instructed.

“Spying on the clan, how smart," he said in his cold voice.

“Spare me, boss. I... I'm sorry," Trent pleaded, shaking on his spot. He was terrified of the devil in front of him.

“You don't want to use the 'dangerous' word, so I'll make it simple. Pick up the knife and cut off your toes slowly" Aurelio said heartlessly.

Hot sweats began cascading down Trent's body as he felt his pants getting wet. He was shaking, his eyes filled with terror, he knew what going against him meant. With shaky and trembling hands, he picked up the knife. Just like Aurelio had instructed, he started cutting off his toes. His cries of agonies sounded like pleasing music to Aurelio's ears. 

By the time he was done, his blood was flowing like a pool of water.

“Good boy, now pick up the gun and shoot yourself exactly in your forehead," Aurelio said.

Trent picked up the gun, and placed it on his forehead. He looked back at Aurelio with tears in his eyes.

“What do I expect from a heartless devil?” With that, he shot himself in the forehead, and died on the spot.

****NEXT DAY, MELISSA'S ROOM****

Snow was sharing a room with Melissa for now, since Aurelio was yet to decide what to do with her. Melissa was not yet back from the training ground, so she was all alone in the room. Someone knocked on the door, and thinking it was Melissa, she opened the door to see a strange face.

“Lady Clara asked me to give you this. As of today, you are now a maid, just like the rest of us. Hurry up and come to the maids quarter. It's a direct order from the boss," the maid said and left.

Snow looked at the clothes the maid had given her. Without wasting any more time, she went into the bathroom to change. By the time she came out, Melissa was back.

“So this is goodbye as roomies," Melissa said.

“What do you mean?” Snow asked, pulling the skirt down.

“You are dressed in a maids' uniform, so from now on, you'll be staying in the maids' quarter,” Melissa explained.

Snow nodded sadly, understanding it. She kept trying to pull down the skirt. It was a very short black skirt that stopped right below her ass and a top that exposed her belly button. She may have a small stature but she's got some curves.

“Girl, you are so hot," Melissa complimented.

“I don't feel comfortable in this," Snow complained.

“Don't worry, you'll get used to it”.

Snow smiled sadly and left, still fighting with the cloth. 

She kept walking, not having any idea of where she was heading. She was also receiving stares from both males and females. That's when it dawned on her that she forgot to ask Melissa about the directions to the maids' quarter. 

She kept walking until she stopped in front of a building different from the clan. She went inside but saw no one. Then she saw a door, and she slowly opened it and walked in. She was amazed by the beauty of the room.

“Wow,” she mumbled, looking around. She heard some noises behind her, and she turned to see another door open. The mean guy walked out, tying a towel round his waist. His body was dripping wet from the shower he had just had, his hair stuck to his face, making him look insanely hot like a sexy demon, but Snow was too scared to even notice all that. 

She turned to run, but her legs got tangled, and she fell. She closed her eyes tightly, awaiting her fate.

“How dare you come into my room?” he growled.

“I'm sorry. I was lost and found myself here. I'm really sorry. I was trying to find the maids' quarter and ended up here. I'm so sorry, sir. I'm sorry," she said at once without standing up. She was shaking so much because of how scared she was.

“Stand,” He said. 

Snow slowly opened her eyes and stood up, still fidgeting on the spot. Her head was bent, and she was staring directly at the marbled floor, as she dared not look him in the eye.

Aurelio took his time accessing her body, from her face down to her boobs, then her exposed belly button, and her curved waist. Her smooth, straight legs made her look appetizing. Snow felt uncomfortable as she felt his deep, piercing gaze on her.

“Leave”. He said.

She turned to run, almost bumping into the door. She finally ran out and released the breath she didn't know she was holding.

Aurelio was still staring at the door, her image wouldn't leave his head. Now he regretted staring at her for long. He suddenly felt something rising inside him. He untied his towel, and he was beyond shocked at what he saw.
