CHAPTER 70

"Aurelio, where are we going?" Snow asked.

Aurelio refused to tell her anything. He only drove the car and replied occasionally.

She decided not to bother him again.

She looked outside the window, enjoying the early morning weather.

It had been months since she saw the beauty of Italy. Most of the time she left the clan was when she was kidnapped or when she went shopping with Melissa, but that was a long time ago.

The road screamed familiarity, and she immediately sat up.

The road, the streets, trees and other things. She had seen them before.

She turned to Aurelio. "We are going to my house," she said almost in a whisper.

Aurelio faced her and nodded before concentrating back on the road.

Snow's eyes got misty. She'd finally see her mom after months of being away from her. She was happy and at the same time worried. How would her mum react when she finds out she fell in love with the person who had her kidnapped?

The screeching of the car pulled her back to the present.

CHAPTER 69**IN THE NIGHT, AURELIO 'S VILLA**Aurelio was lying down with Snow's head placed on his chest. Silence reigned in the room as it seemed both were lost in their thoughts.Aurelio was stroking Snow's hair softly."What are you thinking?" he asked. She sighed."Are you worried?" He could sense it; she normally doesn't stay this quiet. She shook her head. "There is something I need to tell you," she said."No, not today. You can tell me another time,""But...""You've always wanted to know why I was like this?" he asked. She nodded, deciding to listen to him for the night, maybe some other time. She looked up, and their eyes met.He smiled and pecked her forehead."Good girl," he said."I was involved in a fire accident, and that resulted in me being mute for two years. I had my father, mother and sister. We were a happy family until that very day," he paused. The image of the incident appeared in his head. He tightened his jaw, anger slowly coursing through his veins."You s

CHAPTER 68"Are you just going to leave like that?" a voice that she'd be able to recognize even in her sleep asked. She paused for only a few seconds before continuing her journey. She couldn't stay here anymore, not when he didn't see her worth. She wanted to take another step when a hand held her, making her halt."You should stay," he muttered, his eyes on her back."Let go of my hand," she muttered without looking at him."Don't leave, Snow, please," he pleaded.Snow froze.Everybody's ears twitched when he said 'please'. Aurelio, their boss, was saying the word 'please'. They were aware of how much he hated the word. He doesn't give second chances to anybody who uses that word, and he was the one who used the word. Snow wasn't left out either. She was shocked as well. She vividly remembered all the times he treated her brutally because of the word and now...Aurelio didn't care. He had come to realize Snow was someone he couldn't let go of. How was he going to survive without h

CHAPTER 67**AURELIO'S VILLA**Aurelio stood looking out the window, the scene at Ronan's house, ringing in his head."You've won Aurelio," he smiled sadly.(FLASHBACK)When Ronan pulled the trigger, Aurelio turned the gun to Ronan, and the bullet hit his chest.Time froze as Ronan slowly left the gun and thudded loudly on the ground. The gun slipped down Aurelio's hand as he and Sin crouched down to Ronan."Ronan!" they called. His eyelids opened weakly, and he looked at them, tears slipping down his cheeks."You've won Aurelio," he smiled sadly."Ronan, nothing is going to happen to you," Aurelio said.Even though Ronan tried to kill him, Ronan was still like a brother to him."Ronan, don't worry, we will get you to the hospital," Sin said as he tried to stand up."No. I wouldn't be able to make it," he coughed."Meeting the three of you was the best thing that ever happened to me," he said weakly. His blood was already pooling beneath him."No," Melissa muttered as she went closer

CHAPTER 66"Are you going to do what he asked?" Sin asked."That's the only way to get Snow back," Aurelio replied. He had agreed to Ronan's demands. They were waiting for him to send his address."Ronan has gone crazy. How could he ask you to kneel before him?" Sin asked, completely frustrated by the whole situation.Aurelio said nothing. He knew it wasn't going to be easy, and Ronan was only doing this to get his revenge. Maybe he deserved it for all the things he had done. Snow was in that condition because of him once again. She wasn't even in a stable condition, and if doing it would make him free Snow, then he was ready to do it.A notification popped up on the monitor. "The address," Aurelio muttered.Aurelio turned to leave."I am coming with you," Sin said, going after him.Aurelio left without saying anything."I will also come along," Melissa said. "What would you be doing there? It might be risky," Sin said, worried about her."Snow is my friend and I want to save her.

  • THE MAFIA'S DESIRE: His little seductress   BEGGING

CHAPTER 65"Why didn't you tell me about Ronan?!" Aurelio yelled.During the video call,(FLASHBACK)"It's been so long since I saw your faces — a year, a decade, a millennium. Too far for me to remember," he said with a dark smirk."Where is Snow?" Aurelio asked coldly."Calm down, Aurelio. She is right here with me and I made sure to keep her alive," Ronan said, turning the camera to Snow, who was sitting on the bed, her arms wrapped around her chest with traces of tears in her eyes."Snow," Melissa muttered."Come on muffin. Didn't you want to see your beloved?" he said with a teasing smile.Snow looked at the camera, but couldn't form a word."Snow, what happened to you?" Aurelio asked. The sight of tears in her eyes made his heart ache. He slowly balled his fist below the table. He hated himself for always being responsible for the pain she was always going through."Looks like she doesn't want to talk to you," Ronan said."Snow, say something. Why are you crying?" Mykel asked de

CHAPTER 64"Yes sir. She was already two weeks gone," the doctor replied.Ronan stared at the doctor before he burst out laughing, at first slowly and then louder, causing the doctor to look at him in confusion. The laughter died down. "What are you still doing here?" he snapped. The doctor hurried away."So Aurelio was going to become a father — the devil — a father," he said in a mocking tone."I'm sure Aurelio doesn't even know," he said as he went into her room. When he saw her condition, his gaze softened. He sat on the chair beside the bed and reached for her hands."It was never my intention to put you in this condition," he muttered, caressing her hand softly."I will take better care of you than Aurelio ever did," he said as he stood up and pressed his lips on her forehead. When he made to stand, his eyes caught something in her hair."What is this?" he said, reaching into her hair, and bringing out the object. He stared at the small metallic device in his hand."A tracker."

CHAPTER 63"Snow!" the clan members shouted.Aurelio's guns slipped from his grip, clattering onto the marble floor. He burst outside; The cold air slapped his face. The yard was empty. No movement. No sound. No one.The rest of the clan members rushed out behind him. They were all sure they heard her voice. A shot was fired. But who pulled the trigger — and who got hit?"Snow," Aurelio muttered, and his eyes caught something on the ground. There were tire tracks on the ground, and the engine was still warm, suggesting someone had just left.He kicked the engine to life and sped off.The members also got into their cars.He followed the tire tracks until they disappeared. The road was busy.Having figured out that the tracks were misleading, he reversed the bike towards the Blood Moon Cartel.**BLOOD MOON CARTEL**Aurelio arrived at the clan and climbed down, forgetting to turn off the engine."Snow," he called out.Silent.He called again as he went to her room and found it empty. He

CHAPTER 62 **SNOW'S ROOM**She was in her room, and her expression was gloomy. She was feeling restless and inwardly praying for their safe return. Melissa later told her about what the meeting was about, and she couldn't help but feel scared. In addition to that, she and Aurelio haven't said a thing to each other for those two days. He would go out before she would even wake up, and she'd wait for his return, only for him to come back when she had fallen asleep. She knew Mykel's words must have hurt him a lot. She only wished he'd give her a chance to explain and make things right between them. She felt so restless that the air began to suffocate her. Wanting some fresh air, she stood up and creaked open the door, but her feet brushed against something, making her halt. It was a small, square parcel wrapped in a brown envelope. She saw no one in sight but cautiously picked it up. It was cold and slightly damp. She opened it — and what she saw made her heart sink so much that she had
