After Reyland left, Marian took another shower, then cleansed the room with incense she had only had to use twice before during her captivity, when she knew someone would be visiting and didn’t want any evidence of her escapades floating in the air.

Her first visitor that day, after Reyland had left, was Nurse Senna.

The moment Senna walked in, her face underwent three stages of transformation.

The first was when she saw her patient fully clothed, moving about, from the kitchen to the sitting area and back, clearing some broken pieces of furniture.

The second was when the spice sent hit her nostrils; she had sneezed and gazed in wonder at Marian, her face clearly asking why such incense was in use.

The third was when her wolf whispered to her, and the nurse flushed.

Marian knew what the Senna did not say.

Dinka growled, giving a clear warning to both the nurse and her wolf.
