Aurora’s POV

A chill ran up my spine as my hastened bare foot dipped in the cold, wet mud on the forest floor. I had never been out here. My nightmares haunted me every night and I was too scared to even get tormented by day to enter this forest.

The same where I thought the Rogues heartlessly killed my parents, but having to hear that this was only the plot of my Uncle and Aunt, I’d been fueled with so much courage.

The air was cold, it was too dark, I could barely see far ahead of me, my wolf vision as an omega was limited, compared to other high ranking wolves.

A dry twig snapped under my foot and I jumped in fear, my hand clamped against my mouth as I muffled my scream.

My eyes were wide, scanning the area, my chest heaving, blood pulsed through my vein and my heart raced in my chest. I was breathing so low, as if I was scared of waking up the shadows.

I closed my eyes, forging ahead with more agility than I started with. I needed to get the heck out of here as soon as possible

  • THE REJECTED OMEGA'S FATE   Chapter 9

Aurora's POV“Help me!!” I screamed at the top of my lungs, as I descended. If I hit the bottom, I might not survive.Maybe, I'll never walk again. It would have been better to slave off in my traitorous and murderous aunt and uncle than to die like this.At least one day, I'll be alive to have my revenge on them.“Say please,” Luca said at the top, with his hands crossed. Shit. I wish I could smack that smirk off his face. “Pl–please help me!!” He sprinted into action immediately, jumped into the sink hole, and somehow he dropped even lower than me.He seemed like an expert, had he fallen here before? He caught a root, as I neared him, he wrappered his arms around my waist.I gasped in relief, and wrapped my arms and legs around him tightly, burying my face in his shoulders. His sandalwood scent hit me, shot up to my head, my eyes rolled back and I shut them, gulping. He groaned a bit, but didn't complain, and he climbed to the top.“Get down.” He pushed me off and I dropped on th

  • THE REJECTED OMEGA'S FATE   Chapter 8

Aurora's POVAs the rogues descended on me, four of them at once, I knew my date laid in my hands.Whether to die like my parents did, or to stand up and fight like a survivor that I was.I yelled out as I picked up a tree branch by the side, they didn't expect it– as they jumped on me, the first one had the branch pierce through his chest, and come out of his back.“Ughh!” He grunted as his face twisted in shock and pain. He grabbed the tree branch and tried pulling it out as he staggered back. But he fell back and went limp on the floor. My eyes widened as I stated blankly at the other Rogues, still overwhelmed by shock.Probably their ego had been struck hard after an Omega just killed one of their own.The one who stopped me first gritted his teeth as he lunged towards me.“You wretched–” I picked another branch from the floor. “Don't you dare!!” I pointed it at them as I stepped back away.“You're surrounded, bitch. Can't you see that you won't be escaping death tonight?” Another

Luca's POV“Luca, are you coming down for the feast?” Gary, my friend and second in command in the pack asked me.“Of what use?” I asked, looking out the window, my hands crossed behind me. “Carry on and have fun, I am not interested.”Gary paused, I would have thought he had left, but I didn't hear his retreating steps and I could perceive his scent. He asked. “Have you not heard the saying, do not die with the dead?”I gritted my teeth at his words. “Go, Gary.”That was the last I planned to say, Gary knew it when he heard the tension in my tone.He stepped back and left my room, leaving me to the solitude– the calm. It was my favorite place and time.As I looked down at the feast happening down in the court yard, I sighed. There's no way I was going down there. How would I think straight and plot my revenge on the Blood moon pack if I get engaged with too many activities?Twenty years ago, I was just ten when the elders of the blood moon pack conspired against my Alpha and Luna par

Consciousness came to me in snatches of time. For one blissful moment between sleep and waking, I existed in nothingness, then reality crashed back, the rejection pain surging through my body with renewed vigor. I curled into myself, clutching my chest where the partially formed bond continued to tear, each heartbeat sending fresh waves of agony through me.It hadn't been a dream.I pressed my face into the pillow, replaying the horrific scene in the council chambers. "I reject you as my mate, Aurora Hale."His words echoed in my mind, each syllable a knife twisting in my heart. My wolf, usually so quiet, whimpered continuously, a sound I couldn't silence no matter how I tried.News had spread through the pack like wildfire. From my window, I'd watched groups gather throughout the evening, heads bent together in eager discussion. Even with my enhanced hearing, I'd only caught fragments:"an omega as Luna""Alpha rejected her in front of everyone""James Hale's daughter, the traitor’s

I ignored the command, unnatural speed filling me as I burst through the council house doors, unable to control my movements. The pull drove me forward with unstoppable force, my feet moving of their own accord. Around the massive oak table, a dozen pairs of eyes snapped toward me, council members frozen mid-discussion, elders with mouths agape, and at the head of the table, HIM.Silver eyes locked with mine across the room. Time stopped. My wolf howled in recognition, clawing desperately to get closer to the towering figure who commanded the space with his mere presence."What is the meaning of this interruption?" Elder Thorne demanded, rising from his seat.I couldn't answer. My body trembled violently as the pull intensified, drawing me toward the Alpha like a magnet to steel.A whisper floated from somewhere behind me as pack members gathered at the open doorway, curious about the commotion."Are they mates?"The whisper rippled through the crowd. "Mates? The Alpha and her?"The A
