-Chapter Twenty Four-

Eric squeezes my hand gently. 

My mom throws soil on his grave, tears cascading down her eyes. She looks better than yesterday. A little make up (now messed up a little) and a black hat matched with a black dress and a pair of heels.

I look at his picture one more time.

I can't believe it.

Rupert is dead.

What is it with people around me dying? First it was my cousin then my step-dad?

 No!

He was shot dead the minute he landed in Kingswood. Whoever it was, they knew the exact time Rupert would be coming from the business trip. And in my head, I can't think of a suspect. I mean, this guy was loved by everyone who crossed paths with him. The town's sweetheart. Always throwing parties every now and then to celebrate life. A man just so full of life and joy. And now his life has been cut short.
