The king was the first to get up. He did not hide his vulnerability from all his people but none saw, all in a hole of sadness no one to pull them out of. The king held out his hand to Brum, their hands connecting with Brum stumbling up. His wounds were closed just as mine but sure every part of him was haunted with nothing but paralyzing pain. The two relatives stared at each other, hands behind each other’s necks in understanding. I doubt Conri was that close with anyone else, even with his deceased brothers.
They stumbled from each other yet Conri held onto Brum, taking all his weight as he limped. Brum held out his hand and I took it, pulling from the floor not sure what to say or do from there. How could a person recover from that? How and what could we do for Rose? My body stumbled up, Brum’s arm coming around my waist with my back still drenched with my blood but the wounds having closed.
Our footsteps echoed, all three walk
Hi everyone, sorry for not updating. My mom dragged me to church camp all through the Easter holidays and yesterday was the king's birthday and I had to attend the party at the stadium. exhausting. thank you for being patient, Lots of love. Tema.
It hurt, it all hurt but I would take it like a queen. My eyes opened, my head tipped up with my eyes falling on the king just walking out of the door. He wore shorts, his t-shirt discarded, knowing where he was going.I cleared my throat.“Let’s go.” I said, pushing off him with my heel clicking as I walked out of there feeling torn from every part of my body yet showing nothing but strength. I could not hear anything, barely seeing anything as I walked out of there leaving nothing but my echoing sound.I walked out of the door and made my way across the pack which was empty, a hollow wind whispering all the wrongs that were about to happen. My eyes fixed on the three men that were at punishment square. The king walked around the punishment pole which he had been holding not long ago. He assessed it as if looking for which side to hold on. Tobbias came running past me, carrying whips that had not been
Thick towels were lain on the bed, rushing to the bathroom just as the door opened, the two men walking in carrying the king to carefully lay him on the towels. A dish had been grabbed from the kitchen. I filled it with warm water. I poured my body wash gel, taking the towel I used to bath and walked out.Brum stood, his body by the window, looking out at the grounds as Stern seemed as if he would faint staring at the king, stepping forward and back from him as if afraid he would die. I walked closer, setting the bowl on the bed with the cloth dipped in and twisted in a squeeze before gently wiping at the king’s skin with bubbles left behind which I wiped again.I cleaned him up, every part of him cleaned.A towel was wrapped just above the dirty shorts then I pulled them down, the towel covering. My hand slipped in, trying not to touch anything I was not supposed to touch, cleaning his waist where the band of the
I turned, Alpha Rivers just walking up to get his basket and following after me. I rushed to the kitchen.“Mrs. Mercy please send through the mind link that we need twenty five warriors who will accompany the leaving alphas.” I said, not even bothered that they would not show. If they did not I would sure show a side they did not want to meet.“Yes Luna.” Mrs. Mercy said back.“Please tell them to be fast and be by the castle steps in five minutes.” I said with Mrs. Mercy nodding her head.My head turned from side to side, not knowing where Brum was.“Sandra, do you by any chance know where the royal beta is?” I questioned with her bowing her head even lower.“No Luna.” She replied with me nodding my head, deep in thought. My body leaned against the counter, thinking all the events that happened thro
“Can you take me to the Mermaid Lake?” I said to Stern, my fingers running through his fur for him to freeze then purr, falling under my spell as I caught him in my web. He relished in the feeling before turning around, my hand drawing away. He took off running, staring back at me, seeing that he wanted us to race. I giggled, he could never win but I gave him his head start as he bolted away. I shook my head, picking up my speed and running after him. His ego would be crushed, deciding to lower my speed as I ran a few feet behind him. He ran with his all, poor him. My eyes turned, taking the forest in as the night fell on it and it was beyond breath taking. There were flying insects, some with glowing bodies and others with glowing eyes. Their sounds just brought the forest to life as it buzzed with such enchantment and I was so taken by it. It was stunning. I wished I could come running at night with the king, it
My hands ran through my hair so many times my fingers were cut with the blood rushing through skin but I cared none. My fingers came back to my lips, brushing them over the soft skin with the memory coming ten folds, a memory I did not want to have. What had he been thinking? I wanted to groan but my head immediately shot to the king, a bulging form under the sheets. His soft groans graced my ears reminding me of the abandonment that had taken place. The guilt came like a whole bucket of cold water just washing over me.I smelt of Brum, I tasted of Brum. My hands quickly falling from my face as my feet quickly pat through the room and all I could do was to thank the goddess that Conri was still unconscious. He was already having difficulty with the idea of me and Brum then to find out that something did actually happen. The water ran through the shower head with such force, the steam immediately rising as I peeled off the clothes from my bod
I hit the ground running. Nothing would hold me back. The king was already way ahead and I could not let him go alone. He was tearing through the land in a way I had never seen him do. I thought I was the fastest runner in the realm but I guess I was not. The king was something else. His anger or his crazy pushed him to run in a way I would have thought impossible for a wolf. His hind legs were as if floating in the air, barely seeing them touch. His body moved so gracefully yet he tore through the way like it was nothing. I closed my eyes, bringing forth my inner darkness and let it push me forward. It was like hitting fast forward as I sprung through enough to get me just behind him. I was trying with everything in me to keep up but he was something else. I never would have thought he could be so beastly. Even then he was snapping his teeth, looking as if ready for war. My head picked up, realizing we were nearing the boarder. My chest just went frantic because it did not seem as
Brum was just starting to climb up but he wasn’t as wild as the king, he wasn’t as feral and rouge as the king. Brum still cared if he lived after a fall but seemed all the king wanted and thought of was getting where he wanted no matter what. The wind got harsher as the mountain got steeper and whiter. My bare feet were turning black, the cold deep to my body. I dug, taking up as much as I could from Conri but the temperatures were unbelievable at such altitudes. The wind got more aggressive I thought it would tear my skin, seeing it black with blood ready to sip out. My eyes were closed, saying a thousand prayers to the moon goddess to protect us.
I will honestly say that seeing Brum like that traumatized me. It just showed me how I could not even fathom the way he was so broken inside. The relationship suddenly seemed so clear. Conri had always been the protector, always been looking out for his cousin. He was all he had, they loved each other very much. At that point it even seemed as if Conri had been playing the father figure. I wondered what the age difference was. At that point they looked as if they were the same age but the way they acted around each other, Conri seemed to be way older.I kept my cries low, wiping my tears as best as I could but they just kept coming to a point I felt like I would shutter from such hurt and sadness.Brum cried until he stopped, pulling away from Conri who still pat him, brushing his back. The silence spread, both of them staring at each of their past with it looking back at them. Brum bent over, collecting all the bones ba
